Back from the annual sloe picking. Ready to make next years batch of gin. Brother in Law got me a 6 pack of Moosehead a while back, so it needs drinking!

 

G'day all!

I'm enjoying this delicious IPA from Mountain Hops Brewhouse. Citra and Nectaron hops are sure to my liking!

Advice for any of you out there that plan to visit Casper whenever, Mountain Hops is a MUST to visit.

Review link here. WBAYDN treatment, was OK at first but grew on me as it warmed. Solid beer, perhaps waited a bit to long to sample, would pick up a fresher version and revisit down the road.

Loved the Sufjan Stevens clips yesterday @champ103 . Will explore the new songs in and around floating through WBAYDN, WDCB and Yacht Rock this weekend.

Awwww man a slow gin fizz!! Now that takes me back to a younger time. When my Mom and Pops would have a drink on Friday or Saturday nights, they weren't drinkers by any stretch of the term. And every once in a while me and my brother would be able to talk them into giving us a drink. Just a splash of Jacquins Sloe Gin or maybe even blackberry brandy and some 7Up or ginger ale.
Great memories of what is now decades ago.

Awesome story. Sloe gin to me is a must at Christmas, my grandparents used to have it every year at Christmas, my nan would make it around this time of year and leave it for a full year until the following October, so it gets a full 12 months doing it's thing. I've been doing the same ever since, always have at least one, usually a few on Christmas day and think of them.

Happy Saturday BA's! Productive morning, put up some outdoor Halloween decoration's, trip to Sam's, pool maintenance and gardening complete. When I first had this beer on tap in Muskegon I was blown away and it's tasting just as good today, Old Nation M-43.

 

At Valkyrie brewing in Dallas, Wisconsin, and enjoying their Oktoberfest on tap. Delicious.

 

Ice in the bird bath two mornings in a row. At least the day warms nicely. Got some chores done and now I'm digging in for NCAA football.
