    1) Equilibrium Citragon (8.5% canned 5/18/23): A NEIPA from NY with Citra Lupomax, Citra T45, Citra T90, and Citra Terpenes for flavors of squeezed homestyle OJ, mango chunks, pineapple custard, apricot, lychee, valencia orange.
    versus
    2) Equilibrium This Is Your Brain On Science (8.5% no canning date but fresh): A NEIPA from NY with Citra Incognito, Citra 90’s, and Idaho 7 for flavors of pineapple, mango push-up popsicle, lime, and Welch’s grape juice. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Citragon:
EQ NEIPA battle. A noggin scrambler. Citragon a bit older and Brain on Science far more fresh, but these NEIPAs are known to defy the IPA rules and seem to stand up very well with time.
First off, Citragon. All sort of Citra in this one apparently. Still tons of citrus flavors with that classic mango skin flavor I get from EQ. Seems to sort of mask all of the other flavors that they describe above.
Second, This Is Your Brain On Science. Same Citra Hop, but with the addition of Idaho 7. Slightly less aroma. Very similar flavors, but slightly more dank and don't really get any of the flavors described.
How can two NEIPA's flavors be described so different, yet drink so similar? Even after they warm I can barely tell the difference between these two. To me, EQ NEIPAs have a distinct yeast taste and usually similar mango flavors. It is a wonder how their NEIPAs taste so similar, and stand up so well with time. All I know is this brewery pushes the limits on IPA science and puts out some top quality haze.

Almost dinner time, having a Broken Skull IPA as an aperitif. Beef stew is tasting pretty spicy, a bit spicier than I thought it would be, will probably induce some gustatory sweating :stuck_out_tongue:

Exactly! Maybe Stone taught them something after they started brewing within the state

Sometimes you have to face facts and know when to celebrate. A non-winless season can be as valid excuse as any to dig into a beer you are saving for a somewhat special occasion, disirregardlesss of the coast you live on.

Local-ish Orioles are trying to make up the one run lead they face in the bottom of the eighth (edit: they failed), though unfortunately the coastal Texas team has an early lead. The Twins came from my metro area originally, so I can claim a tie for rooting interest beyond just rooting against the Astros.

Speaking of history, a quick query from the never-lying internet indicates the Orioles arose from a Milwaukee minor league team over a century ago, @GreenBayBA - if you want a stretch of an excuse for a new rooting interest

Just watched my four year old grandson play flag football, it was pretty funny. He ran about 75 yards all around the field to make a two point conversion, then hit the griddy . Now time for some Zombie Dust.

For my money, that's still some of the best beer artwork of all time. The beer is pretty good, too. Cheers!

Having a Penn Pilsner while making some wings for friend & family.
I found an oil can of the Fosters Green to wash the wings down with.
It's been a while since I last had or even seen one of those.
My wings are going to be fire.
Two lemon Drops Habaneros and a Black Stingers Habanero all diced up in my famous Buffalo sauce.
    My mouth is watering.
    Salúd!
