Everything i try from Cape may is at the least a good decent beer to very good. Their coffee stout is one of my favorites.
I think you mentioned tonewood.have just started finding their beer the last year and have to agree that its usually pretty solid

I really liked the Shadow Work and Lumberyard @jonphisher sent me

So I uncomfortably and unseasonably hot called for this

Templin Family - Berliner Style Weisse Lingonberry

    No canning date

Purchased from the brewery cooler for $4

Poured at fridge temp into a wine glass (goblet coming soon)

Pours a copper golden with a full pillowy head. 3.75

Light kettle sour and tart Lingonberry jam. 4

Kettle start followed by delicate and delicious lingon. Nicely balanced sour, tart puckering and sweet berry. 4

Moderate carbo, dry and light. 3.5

Overall it's gotta be my favorite sour from those wizards over at TF. 3.75

    Good evening NBW
Frankly, I forgot about the extra day. Been busy organizing a lawn building all day. I really know how to vacation...

Couldn't resist a barleywine single at Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati last month while stocking up on Oktoberfest beers.

    West Side Barleywine

12oz canned 12/20/22 poured into a teku glass at fridge temp 11% ABV 67 IBU per can. The beer pours opaque medium orange/amber with khaki colored head. The head recedes to a thin ring and uneven layer of varied bubbles. Streaks of lacing follow the beer down the glass. The aroma is mild with slightly sweet malt, wet cardboard and fading piney hops. The taste is semisweet caramel malt with dark brown sugar, slight cardboard and pine. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with just less that average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. No alcohol notes in the aroma or taste. Overall, good. Maybe this one is better fresh or at least refrigerated. Purchased warm last month.

Can't win them all folks. Cheers!

Forgotten boardwalk galloping ghosts scotch ale
    ... really dark amber,ruby appearance
...medium light carbonation with a slightly thick feel.
...aroma is hard to figure out clearly. Theres malt, scotch, and what comes off as soapy.
...taste is very similar to aroma, malty, scotch, dark bread,
....overall its enjoyable, alcohol is well hidden and the malt is forward but not sticky sweet[IMG]

The Ouchitas Brewing Madd Ox West Coast IPA, 6.3% ABV; 3.5 overall

Pours a chill hazed gold with 2 fingers of cream-colored head. Great head retention & lacing

S: Bready, a little grassy, fairly subdued

T: Follows the nose, malt is dry & pronounced, some woody hops as well up front. Dryness, woody & grassy hops with just a little malt sweetness & just a hint of tangerine as this beer warms up. Finishes dry with woody bitterness, a little bitter citrus & grassy notes

MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, decent balance

This a very old school West IPA, drinkable but nothing out of the ordinary. This beer would've been all the rage 30 years ago

So. I had a Clown Shoes Pecan Pie Porter. Not positive if it was what it was supposed to taste like.
Package date of 8/15/22 - not sure if it’s infected or what, but it just didn’t taste right, let alone good.
Which is all really sad as I enjoy pecan pie very much and was hoping for something that at least resembled it in a beer sort of way.
Ah well, 1st world problems, right?

Mother's Brewing Co. ( Springfield, MO ) Mash Tun Hop Machine IPA New England IPA, 5.5% ABV; 3.79 overall

Pours a hazed gold with a pinky of beige head. Solid head retention & lacing

    S: Tropical fruits, some citrus

T: Guava, passion fruit, sweet orange, green melon & dryness up front. Nectarine and passion fruit as this beer warms up, dryness & green melon with a kiss of Kiwi Fruit as well. Finishes a little dry with guava, passion fruit & nectarine

MF: Medium body, subdued carbonation, nice balance

A good stab at the style, very drinkable, lovely fruittyness; as good as their regular hazy IPA
