    1) 608 Finest (5.5%): A Czech Pils from Wisconsin with flavors of pale malts, yeast, grains. Dry, yeasty, somewhat bitter.
    versus
    2) Off Color Tooth and Claw (5.0%): A Czech Pilsner from Chicago with flavors of pale malts, bread and biscuit. Light lemon and buttery notes. Mildly sweet. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Off Color Tooth and Claw:     Czech Pilsner Battle. First try at 608 Finest. Described as a fine Czech Pilsner. Very yeasty, leans bitter and slightly harsh on the palate. Enjoyable and clean for a pilsner. Not quite as to the Czech Pils style as Tooth and Claw however.
    Off Color makes a fantastic Czech pils, with some hints of Diacetyl, but still flavorful, crisp, and clean. This is a great style and wish more breweries would make this style. Can be sort of bland sometimes, but when it's good, it's good.

    William Lee "Piano Red" Perryman. Discovered him reading a book about Atlanta beer history. Apparently he was well known in the '60s & '70s in the Southeast across jazz, blues & rock-n-roll genres. Became an Atlanta icon jamming at Muhlenbrink's Saloon at Underground Atlanta; where the beer flowed in great quantity. Cheers to the ATL icon.
