In Woodstock Vermont with my bride of 16 years, seemed right.

 

Lunch is the Mahi taco we didn't have last night since the power went out again until 0230 this morning. A beer that needs no introduction, Sip of Sunshine on a breezy, sunny, 85 degree FL afternoon.

On this day in 1970 Janis Joplin's ashes were spread over the Pacific ocean off the CA coast.

 

Only 53 degrees this morning. Must be stout weather.

 

Creme bearlee by Beartown. A creme brulé stout. Glad I had a half!

 

Still thirsty. Chilling with a Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest Festbier.

Enjoying Rotbier (and a special seasonal called Hersbrucker Ernte) a bit earlier in Nuremberg today. Great beer! And really beautiful city.

We followed up this pair with their Rot-Weizen and Kellerbier.

Back in Munich now, armed with a few Oktoberfest bottles to enjoy at the hotel tonight... Was able to drink a few fresh at the source, but Spaten, Lowenbrau and Augustiner we had to locate bottles as none of them serve it any longer on site. But glad we still can try them!

 

Hoppy Friday Advocates. No triskaidekaphobia here. My annual pumpkin ale is a Schafly Pumpkin Ale. Pretty good beer but plenty sweet. Cheers.
