    Emperor Fallen Flag, a TIPA from American brewery Narrow Gauge (10%).

    I found this pretty disappointing to be honest, but maybe that's because I've had plenty of much better TIPAs and QUIPAs at the same age lately. This has all of this typical issues of a not that well-made TIPA to me, being too sweet and boozy, with overripe, not well-defined hops that wash together and a certain chalky, vegetal character as well.

    Good afternoon Advocates! TGIF for sure. I'm drinking Barrel-aged Vermilion from Perennial. This is an English-style barleywine aged 24 months in whiskey barrels. Barrels were comprised of 23% Heaven Hill and 77% Buffalo Trace. Notes over in the BW thread. Cheers all!

    Parents stopped by just as I was wrapping up an 80-hour painting project, with my house looking damn near perfect. Dad decided to have an Okto with me, so I'm late to the post haha.

    Final race of the season, and my 7th of the circuit this year.

    Agreed. Excellent USA brew. So well balanced and super fine. Some Marzens, for me, can taste a bit jagged-edged or bouncy but this brew has a smooth glide. Prost!
