When I first started visiting Illinois, happy hour was banned and there were way less breweries. These days, happy hour and daily specials are really starting to catch on. What are you favorite happy hours or specials? Some of mine..
Art History 3-5 2 dollars off pours
Riverlands 5 dollar happy hour...forgt the exact hours
    Brother Chimp 5 dollar Mondays.
    Sturdy Shelter 5 dollar Mondays
Roaring Table 2 dollar off Sundays

I think happy hours really nurture regulars, something a lot of breweries are lacking these days.

Good thread idea and love the fact solid breweries offer HH specials.

Here are a few I’m familiar with and enjoy in Chicago plus Niles:
    • Revolution Brewpub has $2 off draft beers and several food options available 3-6 M-F. (N/A at the Taproom)
    • Une Annee / Hubbard’s Cave (Niles) offers select $4 beers and rotating food specials from 2:30-5:30 M W-F.
    • Goose Island Clybourn pours $4 House Draft Beers & Food Specials 3:30 - 5 T-Th & S, and May still have their $6 Double Smash Burger plus chips on W.
    • Forbidden Root offers half off appetizers & $10 Flights M-Th 3-6 & F 3-5, plus sometimes additional specials.
    • Dovetail might still have their Friday 2-6 $2 off core beer HH special.
Looking forward to learning about others.

While not a brewery (and it's a chain), Pourhouse has some decent happy hour specials and a pretty large beer menu (something like 80 brews). Usually hit Pourhouse in Oak Brook mall every couple of months with co-workers and the happy hour deals are pretty good.

    Drink Specials
$2 off all local drafts, the backyard flight, hard seltzers, well drinks, and wine glasses.

    Food Specials
Half-price Bar Bites, which include our Pretzel Bites, Cheese Curds, Popcorn Chicken and Fried Pickles, plus our Kung Pao Cauliflower, Buffalo Chicken Dip and Queso Dip.

The MADD people were responsible for both the National shift of drinking age to 21 and efforts including in Illinois to ban Happy Hours in the mid to late 1980s.

Places could have daily specials, but they had a few restrictions / requirements before implementing, including prior notice. They couldn’t offer ad hoc specials like a place can have with meals.

The repeal of the ban on Illinois HH passed several years ago. HH hours are capped at 15 hours within a week, up to four hours within a day, and cannot go beyond 10 PM. Places also must provide 1 week advanced notice on premise (such as a poster) or online before implementing.

Going beyond Chicago, Tap 22 in Silvis, IL has great tap beer specials. They don't brew but have 22 beers on tap, hence the name. Tuesday is $2 pints (all day), Wednesday is $3 you call it on all pints, 24 oz draws, and well drinks (all day), & Thursday is $4 pints (all day). Plus food specials each day also. So if you're in the Quad Cities, stop in.
