Like some others here, working to make room for an incoming BIF box. Yep, I'm bailing out a boat with a thimble. Having Barrel Aged Intent Blend 2 from New Image. A blend of barleywine aged 40 months in Colorado Bourbon and 18 months in Kentucky Rye and Bourbon Barrels.

Oh yeah this is right in my wheelhouse, reminiscent of a Kane offering. I can think of no higher praise. The carbonation is practically nill while the body is full and wonderfully sticky. There is a potent black strap molasses note right out of the gate that is noticeable throughout. It is joined by burned caramel, intense tobacco, concentrated raisins, and beautifully well incorporated mellow brown liquor. This is a gem.

Thanks @SLeffler27 for the idea. This is tasting mighty fine. Has an interesting bitterness that I didn’t expect. Still have one left that I might open in a couple years. I can see this being much different after a few years

I love visiting people with mild ocd in their homes. Casually leave a cupboard door slightly ajar, fan through their books sloppily, accidentally knock wall art off center, the fun never ends. It's good to have a hobby. I wonder if @Beersnake1 will ever invite me over?

Luckily for me i spent so much damned time there that they give me a heads up, sometimes over a month in advance, about OG BA tappings and releases.
I missed the 2013 Old Guardian this time , but I'll get it again soon *fingers crossed*

I can't recall the last time I had one of these, what the hell is wrong with me? Maybe it's all the sweeter, BA beers I drink that make this seem so wonderfully fresh and bright in contrast. Light, sugary caramel, sweet candy orange and some pleasant grapefruit bitterness at the finish. I am thoroughly enjoying the hell out of this.
