    At dinner with my wife and the place had Southern Tier Warlock imperial stout. I am not a big fan of pumpkin adjuncts (not that there is anything wrong with liking them) so with some trepidation I ordered one. The bartender asked me if I wanted a 16 or 22 oz! I did 16. It was pretty good. The pumpkin adjunct was muted and perhaps more of a subtle spice undertone with mostly coffee flavors prevailing. I think some of the patrons there sit around and throw down multiple rounds of 22oz imp stouts without flinching.

    Not sweet like I feared. NH does a pretty good job overall with these variants. Wish I could say the same for KBS recently…

    That's an underappreciated ba stout line. It's not a world beater but it's hard to think of a better ba stout that hits around 30cents/oz

    I've been pestering Lagunitas but no word yet.

    December 6th last year is when i purchased my case which was the day they arrived in SoCal.

    They've released it every two years recently, right? I remember 2018, 2020, and 2022. I just figured it was because of my location and their distro, but it seems to be a pattern

    It's a yearly release from what i know.
    They def made a 2019 and i think 2021 was pushed cuz of their whole "covid" fiasco

    Favorite vintage! Only have 1 left now!

    So much dark chocolate fudge, coconut, vanilla, slight anise (not overpowering like 2021), burnt sugar. Slight bitterness, too. They really nailed it that year and the variants showed. The 2020 Anniversary was my highest rated BCBS of all time. Birthday was that year, too. Cheers

    Enjoying a well-made BA Milk Stout from Deep River in Clayton, NC. Expected it to be sweeter but the coffee and barrel are the elements that cut thru the large malt base and chocolate, leaving a finely balanced brew. Overall rating 4.3.
