What beer are you drinking now? #4014

Hello hello! Doing the Heineken experience tour (of the old production facility) today in Amsterdam. Very cool, well worth it!

 

Either you are a giant or this tour pour is quite miniscule. If I didn't know what it was I'd think it was a barleywine pour.

Favorite Fall Tree on the corner getting near full bright red colors, probably will peak in a couple of days. Few trees are shedding leaves. Pretty late in the season due to warm temps plus rain, avoiding a freeze for now.

This beer is excellent, as is this guitarist who was born one hundred years ago today and celebrated during the overnight hours.

Canned a day and a month ago and tasting great

 

They give you that small taster midway through the tour, and then you get two full sized pours at the end.

 

I'm usually not a fan of Turning Point beers but this isn't bad at all. First beer I'd repurchase that I've had from them. Chicken is marinating, will be grilling on the fire again tonight.

Been away for a few days - for my lovely daughter's wedding this past Saturday in the Columbus (OH) area.....it was amazing!



for our "father - daughter dance" at the reception, she chose Tom Petty's "Wildflowers" - I used to sing that to her when she was little and would stand on my feet as we danced around the kitchen at home....bittersweet!

 

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Czech style Lagers. Dark Lager has particularly found a place in my rotation. This collab, Only Memories Remain, between Good Word (GA) and Bluejacket (DC) 4.4% ABV is one of the best you'll find.

 

Wow, what a special moment! Hope to have that with my daughter someday. Beautiful bride and proud papa. Congratulations!

 

Another round of märzen before I start gathering some wood for dinner.
