You better be really sure. I saw 5-6 minute clip once, and that was enough for me to know that I'd seen too much.

Orval, cause it’s succinctly cool and has a fun little story.

Favorite beer by Orval is Orval.

"Smuttynose and some of the other islands in the Isles of Shoals are part of the town of Kittery in York County, Maine. The island was named by fishermen who thought the profuse seaweed at one end made it look like the "smutty nose" of some vast sea animal."

Place-based brewery labels do attract, OR you gotta go modern boho/urban chic: Cellarmaker, Half Acre, OtherHalf, etc.

I'm here in Japan, so I'll post some of my favorite local places with translations if I can:

    Far Yeast Brewing (very punny)

Hop Kotan Brewing (Kotan is an Ainu word, from the indigenous people of Hokkaido, that means village or hamlet)

Uchu Brewing ("Outer Space" Brewing with labels and names all related)

Hop Butcher for the World - just so bizarre and interesting name.

Lost Nation - just being located in rural Vermont in libertarian central and the name talks to a simpler and more practical existence from times in the past. And their marketing of a dilapidated farmers barn from a century ago all ties it together so nicely for imagery.

I like Shy Bear Brewing in Lewistown PA. Their logo is a bear with it's paws over it's eyes.

Good brewery too, not afraid to brew less popular styles. Had an English Dark Mild last time there.

    From Wikipedia:
"New Albion, also known as Nova Albion (in reference to an archaic name for Britain), was the name of the continental area north of Mexico claimed by Sir Francis Drake for England when he landed on the North American west coast in 1579."
The brewery name directly identified the brewery's location, and referred back to Britain, linking to the beer styles made. Also easy to pronounce and remember. . . . And with the great name, they weren't able to become successful anyway.

    SingleSpeed, Cedar Falls/Waterloo, IA.
They incorporate the cycling theme into a lot of their branding. They also make hella good beers, and are known for coloring outside the lines now and then. Favorite beer name: Tip the Cow, a cocoa espresso milk stout that pays homage to an old urban legend. (Or would that be "rural legend"?)

At one time Chicago was known as the Butcher for the World, due to having a lot of slaughterhouses. Ranchers would drive the cattle to various cities with large railheads, they'd get loaded onto trains, and sent to Chicago to be butchered.
