Favorite Brewery Name (2023)

^^^^^-----------That brewery name right there is as bold as it gets. (have heard of them before)

@PapaGoose03, Rising River Brewing here in Macungie. This sits atop an area that has flooded in the past. A few great beer names from them: 3 Levels of Swamp, Dreaming of Sleeping, Murky Crik, Rising of the Marzen.

"Human Robot" down in Philly has always been an intriguing name to me. It's like, => . And I love this name for one of their Kölsch's: "Dude Time In Cologne".

 

Maybe if they only brewed non-alcoholic beer...

 

I'm proud to say that I have drank beer out of a Dildo (glass). It's just an innocent name, and the name of the town it's in.



As for best name? The Alchemist. I mean it's spot on. Best beer in the world too.

 

Invasive Species, don't know if they are still around.

 

Who the hell named that town?

 

Maybe the same person who named Intercourse, PA?

 

Obviously it was named for the founder, Jeremiatholemew Aberdoon Dildo III.

 

Best Brewery Name: Clown Shoes.. I laugh every time I think of that one. I envision some of the funniest people ever running the joint.

Best Beer Name: Pluff Mud Porter... that is just so Low Country and fitting.

I'm old school--I still prefer Cream City Brewing Co., which sadly went under in 1937. The name does not need to be explained to Milwaukeeans (it refers to the "cream colored" bricks used locally in construction).

 

If only there was a Yeast of Eden.
My vote is for Lost Coast from Eureka, California.

Jackie O’s owner, Andrew Arthur Oestrike, known by most as Art, went to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio as an undergraduate and again as a graduate student after teaching English overseas in South Korea. Art’s entrepreneurial career was born when he and his best friend, Lenny Meyer, decided to buy Bagel Street Deli in Athens, Ohio in 2003.

In 2005, Art purchased O’Hooley’s. Shortly before this new venture, his mother, Jackie Oestrike, was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. Jackie passed away in June of 2006, but not before her son let her know he had plans to change the name “O’Hooley’s” to “Jackie O’s” in her honor. Her reaction was a classic motherly reaction, “a bar?!” Art’s reply, “it's going to be so much more than a f*@%ing bar, mom!” has been what continues to inspire and grow the business to this day.

 

And Blue Ball and Bird-in-Hand as well.

I always liked Two Brothers and Four Friends (now defunct).
