    Hello BA!

    It's been a while since I started one of these, but since I'm back in the land of Oz after various European and Asian adventures, what better time than now to jump back into the world of WBAYDN?

    Today's weekend starter is Tuckerbox Scruffy IPA by Borambola Wines. I have no idea who Borambola Wines is, but the Tuckerbox and the dog that sits beside it are the subject of a famous 19th-century Australian poem. There's a statue devoted to the poem in the town of Gundagai, up in inland southern New South Wales, which is where the poem is set, and where my wife happened upon these beers. Being the good wife she is, she picked me up a few. There's stone fruit and a fermenting hay note to it, but it works well and is a more than acceptable way to start the weekend.

    Here's hoping yours gets off to as good a start!

    I have no doubt your Euro and Asian adventures have been tremendous and fascinating, imbibed too!

    Drinking Lagunitas IPA in its bigger and new can hence relatively fresh.

    Good day BAs! @AzfromOz - glad to see you made it home intact with a bunch of new beer notches on your belt!
    Another cool (52F/11C) rainy day here as we slide into winter, my most hated season. The rodents are trying to move in for the winter - caught three field mice in the last 24 hours. I take them across the Allegheny and turn them loose.

    I'm generally not a fan of lagers unless I'm in Germany, but this one is decent despite the price point.

    Nice weather this week in Casper.

    This is a good Oktoberfest and it sure took a long time before it showed up. Pretty fresh though. Canned September 22nd.

    Bourbon and maple syrup make a rather good combination.
