Half Acre Brewing Co. (2023)

$8 for 10 at Half Acre.

Apparently it's a special this month & goes away after that.

 

I want to report that the Philipino Pork spring rolls and Oxtail are absolutely delicious at Half Acre. It was a delightful day starting at Revolution with all the variants and ending at Half Acre with the delicious food plus nitro draft DB Catch Hell & regular pour of b2 Before Land Shook.

 

No, you're not. Mentioned how good Half Acre's burritos on Lincoln were literally yesterday. Pretty sure @eppCOS and @SeanBond and @FBarber and maybe even the mysterious @HouseofWortship can concur as well.

 

Goddamit, @GuyFawkes - those burritos were solid. Were they as good as Taqueria Asadero around the corner on Montrose? No, never, but it was great to have on hand. What I really crave every fortnight is those bloody nachos they used to serve. *crack*
Cheers... and yes, that was 10 years ago that I rediscovered beer via Half Acre. And I haven't been the same since.

 

I never ate at HA Lincoln. Early years they didn’t have food on site and later years opted to go to HA Balmoral where you could get a seat easily.

 

Easily some of the most delicious, slightly overpriced burritos I’ve had. The thanksgiving leftovers burrito was the last one I ever had, and it was superb

 

The crowd has spoken and the consumer demands a Half Acre Burrito Barrel Aged Stout!

Barrel Aged Stout Burrito? That sounds like an Irish car bomb, but instead you’re dropping one BA stout into a larger glass of BA stout and then painfully chugging it.

Funny I did the same thing on Saturday, started at Rev (which was practically empty) and went to Half Acre to eat and have the Nitro DB Catch Hell and Before Land Shook. My regret of the day was actually not trying the Oxtail, the guy at the bar next to me I talked to had them and they looked great. Kicking myself for sticking with the usual cheese curds.

 

Half Acre scene report:

Barrel aged options on draft are Orin, World of Bog (nitro!), Before Land Shook, Double Barrel Catch Hell (nitro) and Catch Hell.

Tend is back on draft (their take on Celebration, in my humble opinion) and the Helles Lager and Oktoberfest are still on.

World of Bog and...Sickle Through Sable, I think?...are still available to go. Orin too.

The nitro World of Bog was fantastic.

 

Killer lineup. Now imagine it was 2013, it would be legendary
