Revival has fallen off a cliff since they moved into that new spot. None of their beers have tasted the same since. It’s a damn shame because I loved the old location

I stopped into Kettlehead Brewing in Tilton, NH this weekend. Food was good. We had the pork wings and pretzel bites, so I should say the appetizers were good. Enough to hold us over. I had their flagship IPA and it was okay. A little sweet for my liking, but it was a good beer in the sun. I also had the Mexican Lager, which, again, in the sun, was really nice.

I'd go back next time through the lakes region. If I recall correctly, there's a pretty good Mexican place down the road from the brewery too.

Visited the Narragansett Brewery in Providence last weekend. The pilsner was tasty and I really liked the Cream Ale, kind of a hoppy pale. Nice place, we sat outside on the deck overlooking the water. They serve some comfort food, pizza was okay, and also had a food truck.

Visited Back Beat Brewing in Beverly today.
Nice interior, unasuming, did not eat there. Outdoor seating available.
Staff (owner and family) were graciuos, and gregarious.
Excellent cask stout, and cask bitter.
Live jazz trio played at a volume we could talk, without raising our voices.
All in all a plesant, experience.
    We wil revisit

First time having Silvaticus Oktoberfest this year on draft and it was tremendous. Grabbed cans to go along with quintessential, requiem, mishtastic and oblivion. Excellent can options this past weekend from one of the best in New England.

Have to agree. Swung by yesterday for an Oktoberfest pour and cans. As always it was fantastic.

Silvaticus Nectaron Hoppy Lager is perfection(if in the mood for hoppy lager)

    This was absolutely excellent.

They continue to impress year after year.

    Need a 2023 thread or a 2024

@Jow13 posted about Vanished Valley's Oktoberfest over on the Oktoberfest thread which got me thinking: I haven't heard about or even thought about Vanished Valley in probably 3 or 4 years, at least not since before Covid...

I used to stop there for cans on the way home from Monson and remember really enjoying some of their IPA's. Although I think they may have been sort of 'batchy' toward the end.

Didn't they move into the restaurant at the top of the driveway? Has anyone been recently? and is it worth the trip?

I hit a few of Massachusetts’s newer breweries this past weekend (bringing my total to 237 different MA breweries visited!)

Doctor’s Island in Hull, MA - very small spot with mainly outdoor seating. Nice little outside bar overlooking the ocean. They had 5 beers on tap.

Epigram Brew Co in Tyngsborough, MA - fairly big, multilevel taproom with a small food menu which includes Bar Pizza. IPA focused beer list with a few other styles available.

Widowmaker’s second location in Brighton, MA (former Brato Brewhouse location) - Redone interior with a darker, heavy metal theme. Nice variety of beer styles on tap (but had no sours when I went). Food was quite good - ramen/barfood fusion.

-Apparently we can only post 2 images per post, so no image for Widowmaker…

The wife and I (and Rumble) hit up True North for the first time on Sunday. We had to sit outside since Rumble was with us, but was impressed by the beers I tried. Their Oatmeal Stout was stellar. Will definitely go back there again sometime.
