2023 FOBAB Thread

FOBAB 2023 Brewery List is up. Tickets for both sessions remain available, as are volunteer positions with come with one free entry. This will be held at the UIC Pavilion once again, which is a lot more spacious than the previous venue on Halsted & Roosevelt. My name tag will be ChicagoJ and I'll likely be pouring Wild Ales on Saturday. Hope to see you there.

The Beer Temple is having a preview party on Thursday November 2nd featuring various beers scheduled to pour at 2023 FOBAB.

Preceding this event:

Friday 10/27: Half Acre Halloween featuring Catch Hell / DB Catch Hell, Benthic / DB Benthic, VIM and OG Reaper. The link lists the staggered tapping times for each beer and other details.

Wednesday 11/1: AleSmith Reps on hand with various BA Stouts and other offerings.

You can bring in a pretzel and cheese neckless and empty water bottle. Not sure if they would stop you trying to bring in a bag of pretzels in lieu of a neckless.

I bought something last year (believe a cheeseburger) and all I can remember is as it was OK / edible but to get down there earlier next year to hit Pompei on Taylor Street, which IMO is the best option within a mile I in terms of quick service and good food.

IIRC, there weren’t many options beyond typical stadium sports food.
