Interesting. I had it on tap which led me to a 4 pack purchase and now two or three additional bottles on the current release. I find it sweet absolutely but also true to flavor. Of course, French toast and syrup is a very sweet dish. Cheers.

I no longer purchase Founders products. I did see this at the food market near my work and thought it was a nice idea. Would like to see this more often with other beers and not see the make your own mix a pack mark up.

    Enjoy

Oh, they definitely nailed the French toast flavor. And yeah, you’d certainly expect it to be sweet given French Toast. Just….too sweet. For my tastes anyway.

It’s been here in western NY for at least a month.

Even more expensive than here, by about $3.

That Mackinac Fudge though…insta buy. Forgive their alleged sins for that one.

Spot on with the confusion assessment. They’re covering many flavor profiles.

This might be the least $ I have seen it.

I am assuming a Giant by the tags? They have really upped their craft beer game and depending on the store the singles section can have a lot of winners in it too.

Used to love Founders, big money takeovers screwed them up.
    I miss
    FIS
    Double Trouble
    Devil Dancer
......even worse, I don't see Centennial with less than 6 months on it anymore

Not to dismiss the other selections, but I forgot about Devil Dancer. That one was awesome.

To each their own, but in my mind, Founders is just the shitty barrel-aged pastry stout company that occasionally ships 120-day-old All-Day IPA and a cheap lager.

Respectfully, I'm going to have to disagree with this take. Assuming your issues with Founders is strictly limited to the liquid in the bottle....

    1. Founders barrel aged beers are almost always very good.
    2. I would not consider their BA beers pastry stouts (or any of their beers, really). Yes, they've been doing variants on KBS the last couple of years but whatever is being added to the beer (coffee, hazelnut, etc.) has not been an uncommon brewing ingredients historically (Belgian beers with fruit, coffee has been around for awhile in American craft, etc.). They're not throwing snickers and cake batter into the beer. Further, those ingredients have always (IMO) complimented the base beer and the base beer still shines through. Not turned it into a sweet mess.
    3. I haven't sought out All Day IPA in ages. That's just not a style I reach for. All the national brands seem to have freshness problems as the market seems to have gone in the hyper-local direction in part due to the easy access to craft breweries as compared to 15 years ago.
    4. Solid Gold - it's a good beer. I'm not personally willing to pay the premium for an AAL. But it's still a well made beer.

This is probably a reach but I will ask anyway. Did anyone attend the Breakfast Stout Breakfast this past Saturday? I wanted to but had another commitment. Founders usually has some nice one offs for that breakfast. My favorite one being Parisian Breakfast Stout. I would do some shady shit to drink that beer again.
