I think you're 2:1 utopia's would definitely perk people's interests. Your side project secondary is higher, but it will even out some of that retail cost difference. I say post rye bbtb2 for utopias and see how it plays out. Then go rye bbtb2 +, Then if no interest and you want, utopia's bad enough, add the coco b2

Anyone have an idea of the value of the new SP box set/anniversary releases? I cannot talk about my side of the trade.

Really hard to pin down a solid trade value. The sample size is too small.
And there’s a lot of beer guys that just aren’t bw fans.
I would say roughly the same as one-off’s from Private Press, Holy Mountain, Cellarmaker.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but how hard is it to get a bottle of Fundamental Observation (any year) these days?

I used to trade quite a bit 6 years ago but could never land one. I'm from Oregon and have access to breweries like Great Notion, Wayfinder, Holy Mountain, de Garde, etc. Just off the shelf type stuff, probably nothing too special though.

    Thanks!

pretty easy but you missed the release day by like a month. Plenty FO out there if you want it ...it's not like before , some of them just turd up on shelves in CA.

Edit: trading for what you mentioned might be a bit harder unless it's also One Offs ( BA Double Stack or BA HM releases)

Not difficult at all, just offer something nice and non-distro, often $4$ (though shipping cost might make it slightly lopsided on your end). Or you can just order via Etre Gourmet. All three are currently in stock, which isn't always the case.

Is BBT 2022 close to KBBS? I've seen KBBS close for 250-275 and BBT around 240 so I'm guessing a small plus with BBT?

Should HF Samuel B5 and BBT 2023 be about even?

Anyone know how much more limited the coconut pecan assassin was than the regular? Like if i were trading that one for a regular, how big of a plus would the regular assassin side need?

I wouldn't think anything too big considering the Coconut Pecan sat for sale for a while. Maybe a difference of about $25 - 50 between the two? The CPV Ass pops up on MBC for around $150 all the time.

I see it fluctuate between $125 - 150. Depends on where you are trying to move it. I believe those values kind of shift around depending on whether or not you are trading or selling. Its weird in that I see both go for roughly the same cost when selling ($150) whereas when trading, the coconut gets a more weighted value for reasons unknown to me. Personally, after having both, I find the regular '23 to be far superior in taste and quality but I'm not a pastry fan at all so take that for what its worth.

Hey not sure if this is the right thread since it’s more beer it forward but wanted to gauge if this had enough value to even do a beer it forward for charity. I have worked for dog rescue/shelters for over 8 years and in that time have never lost a dog while doing multiple state transfers, never had a adopted dog returned etc but mistakes happen and I slipped up. My new foster slipped out a door and was hit by a car, I was able to get her to uw Madison who can save her but it’s going to be a 10k bill which will wipe this rescues bank account out. I have an entire vert of north coast old ale from 2000 to 2023 with almost all the cellar releases. Only thing missing I think is the 2005 rerelease when the first batch was too high of a abv for the market at the time, my facts are wrong there but running on no sleep. Anyway it’s at this point just a show off thing, I drank at 2003 double I had and it’s not terrible but yea it’s more of something to look cool with. Would this have any value you think to raise money with?

It's not objectively super valuable if that's what you are asking. There are some Facebook groups where folks wholesale old beers like this and something like this could net several hundred dollars. Having said that, most people love dog charities, so perhaps it is just enough to get several thousand in donations. Hope that helps.
