Great Swedish Beer Festival 2023 was last weekend here in Malmö. I missed it due to work, but this is the official festival beer, a pale ale made by Stigbergets, This Is How and Benchwarmers, and it's kicking off my Saturday of beer and music!

I've wanted to try Pure Project for years, so took a morning run to Copenhagen to bag some! The beers they had were canned in July, so I left the hazies on the shelf but grabbed a Cold IPA and a west coast IPA, figuring they would have held up better. Aaaand, this is terrific!

Today I am flying back home from vacation in Malta, and have a layover in Munich. Had a Hofbrau Helles Lager and an Erdinger Dunkel with weisswurst for lunch.

Good day BAs and good day to you, @JamFuel! Thanks for starting the thread! It's 63F/17C here, cloudy, and rain's moving through the area - good thing I got another ton of leaves processed (i.e. sucked up and burned) yesterday, as well as my annual pre-Texas run to the strip district to pick up supplies for my brother.

Really good New Breakfast Beer today - Endolith from Jackie O's:

Pretty good - Rating 4.37, rDev + 0.2%. Incidentally, one of these is in a box in BSBIF #1.

Damn, the Weisswurst looks good! Incidentally, so does the beer (the Erdinger anyway). Sorry, I don't recognize the airport...

Your meal and beers look great @jmdrpi.

Starting easy with a Jack's Abby Fest Of Both Worlds Festbier.

    G'day all!

We got aboot an inch of snow overnight and it is still spitting the stuff as I type this.

I haven't had an Ellie's in ages and I'm still impressed with it. In my book, it's a classic.

    Prost!

Back in the day, Busch Bavarian was a very good and tasty AAL. This, not so much.

    Prost!

Overall a apple crumble esque winter warmer, though a tad light on flavor.

    Cheers friends! :beers:

Morning, BAs! @JayORear crushed me with tons of fresh Finback.

The only responsible thing to do is ensure they don't go stale in my fridge and get to work.

This beer will eventually make it over to NBW. For now, though, it's back to work (from home).

    Cheers!

Good morning BAs! Slept in this coolish sunny today. Starting with a porter from just up the road - Swamp Head’s “Nightshade”:

A perfectly average porter. Nothing wrong, just not much here. Not sure what’s going on today…may just stay in. Cheers and have a great day y’all!

I see in the reviews that many consider this to be better than the Holsten, which is the other mass produced Maibock. I don't agree. I prefer the Holsten. Maybe it is just familiarity as Holsten is more readily available here. In any case a respectable Maibock. X-posted to the Bock thread
