New Glarus Uff-da (6.7%): A German Bock from Wisconsin with flavors of rich German bread malts, caramel, earthy floral notes, with hints of chocolate. Leans sweet.

A seasonal release from New Glarus. A bock can be a hit or miss beer. I find they often get too sweet and boozy. I'm always surprised this is a lager rather than an ale. This one is pretty good, probably above average. Is a bit sweet, but also has a nice floral and earthy flavor for some balance. With a Bock the flavors emerge as it warms and that is this case. Great warming flavors. If you don't know what Uff-da means, you need a visit to Minnesota, Wisconsin, or the whereabouts.

I was in mood for a Stout and Kane's 11th anniversary (2022) BA blend is exquisite. The subtlety of the barrel influence is amazing! Most brewers slap you across the face with bourbon but Kane just blows a kiss. Cheers!

 

Grilling time! Taking a total flyer on a fajita receipe. Added a little Marzen to it to see how it turns out. Of course, drinking a Hamm's!
