Bell’s Black Note availability

Perhaps timed with All Stout’s Day?

 

Which is on Black Friday for the first time this year, not the first Sunday in November. And that's a good guess for its release then.

 

I can't comment on speculation for Black Friday, but I will say I have 2023 Black Note that was released in January (1/22 Roll out the Barrel Party). Would there be 2 releases in 2023? I know it's happened before (2016).

 

And no Eccentric Day this year!

 

I haven't looked that far ahead to realize that. I've never gone to one of those, so maybe my last opportunity has passed.

 

It's all hearsay and rumors at this point, but my sense was with Larry leaving Eccentric Day is no longer with us. I'll gladly be wrong on this!

 

Paging @TheeWarPig But I doubt we'll get any answers until an official announcement. I'd like to know too as I always love me some Black Note and BA Expo is my GOAT stout.

 

I am glad I didn't promise to eat my shoe. Eccentric Day returns!

 

Bell's has posted that Eccentric Day will occur on Friday, December 1st. They mention collaborations with Three Floyds, Upper Hand, Brewery Vivant, One Well and Wax Wings.

Black Note will drop the week before Thanksgiving. This is subject to change.

 

According to a post on socials by Bell's, the release will happen tomorrow, with distribution to follow.

 

Any more specifics before I start searching every platform?

Never mind, I found it on Insta & Twitter. But a bit more specificity would be really helpful.

 

Facebook post:
"Black Note releases at the General Store tomorrow & hits distro a few weeks later. Come be one of the first to get your hands on this year's batch."

That's all I got.

Which still doesn't make a lot of sense because as I posted above this will be the second batch for 2023.

 

Nobody at Bells and plenty of BN sitting around.

 

They actually pushed it up a couple weeks. 6 people total in line this morning at opening. No limits or allocations.

 

The line for Black Note could have been longer if customers could go to the Eccentric Cafe afterward for a drink. The Cafe didn't open until 3:00pm. Stupid pandemic.

 

Or if it wasn't at noon on a Wednesday. Stupid work obligations.

 

Does anyone ever stop for a sip at the Eccentric store? I’m taking some liberties here but my two cent hot take is that they built out that wonderful growler fill station, stocked it with shelf beers, and then the pandemic hit.

 

I've had a few 16 ounce crowlers filled in the General Store fill station. But I agree with you in that it seems those offerings are usually underwhelming.
