    1) Phase Three Tonal Range (8.0% canned 10/17/23): A NEIPA from Chicago with Mosaic, Citra, and Sabro for flavors of grapefruit citrus, pineapple zest, some floral and pine notes with a bite. Very smooth.
    versus
    2) Toppling Goliath Cage’s Castles (7.8% canned 10/16/23): A NEIPA from Iowa with Strata, Nelson, Citra and Mosaic for flavors of orange flower, grapefruit, pineapple, some hints of grape and melon. Smooth. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    1) Phase Three Tonal Range:
NEIPA Battle. Two favorites of recently. First up is Phase Three Tonal Range. Great combo of Citra, Mosaic, with a Sabro addition
Next is Toppling Goliath Cage's Castles. Also, fantastic with some bright and juicy flavors. Tought to call a definite winner. It's juicier and brighter, but not quite a smooth as Tonal Range.

    Happy Sunday, BA!

In a rare event, the whole family is napping, so i (hopefully) get a few hours to myself. So beer, legos, and dinner prep are in order. It's stout weather, and the only stout i have on hand is this massive one. DFH Wake Up World Wide Stout.

    cheers!

Another Celebration. I enjoy football even when my fantasy team isn't winning. There's beauty in all things, and the score can change on a dime. Cheers!

Boulevard Dark Crator (12.5%): A barrel-aged doppelbock from Kansas City with flavors of bourbon, rich bread, caramel, maple syrup and brown sugar.

New release from Boulevard. Cool name and interesting style in a BA doppelbock. Not a huge fan of BBA beers, but I'll drink them in the colder months seasonally. This one has a moderate amount of bourbon upfront. Fades fairly quickly to allow the caramel, bread, strudel, maple syrup, and brown sugar notes come forth. I appreciate that the bourbon isn't too strong or overpowering, and the rich doppelbock flavors are present and complex. Getting some Fresh Toast Bastard Vibes here. Starting to get really good as it warms. Going to sip this one and probably enjoy it over the next few days.
Happy Sunday and enjoy some NFL football today BeerAdvocates.

I've noticed you drinking stouts lately. They've been hitting good for me to. I did drink to many last weekend and felt kinda sickly come Monday..

I can barely find the prior 8. All this talk makes me want to pull my glass out and grab some St.B actually.

Well, my Pilsner Urquell fell to the pup's tail after only two sips. Fortunately, the glass itself was spared, so ... round two.

[IMG] Ponderosa's Italian Pilsner. Someone on BA recommended it. It's pretty good.
