Good morning and happy new week Advocates,
yesterday the Capital derby in my area (lazio - AS Roma), so a weekend in which beer was consumed in abundance.
Today, however, a light but quality start:

Hop Skin Brewery (Curno, Bergamo, ITA) - SUMMEREVE - Pale Ale (Gluten Free) 4%

More precisely it's a Golden Ale (GLUTEN FREE) style, hopped with German and American hops, and in fact it's very aromatic.
33cl can (€5 from the pub fridge).
Fragrant and fresh aromas of exotic fruit (mango), summer fruit (melon, yellow peach) and ripe orange on the nose.
When poured, it releases an adequate foam of reasonable consistency, which does not disappear on its own but remains as a cap for the beer.
    Slightly opaque straw color.
In the mouth, an enveloping taste of peach, apricot but also more exotic reflections (mango). To accompany the dry and pleasantly bitter finish, citrus notes emerge (pink grapefruit and citrus peel). Once drunk I also perceive light notes of cereal.
This taste, so fresh yet balanced and free from excess, conveys the idea of drinking a product in excellent freshness conditions.
Beer with a very light body, in which the carbonation is present but a little subdued, but with a full and fragrant taste: really very tasty and I appreciated a finish that leaves room for a pleasant final bitterness (citric, rather than herbaceous).
Very satisfying product, in its simplicity.

    La trappe Blonde, bongiorno Jack_14.

It’s a totally gloomy day, yep the long fall season is on and November takes the cake for people in the northern hemisphere. I don’t even feel like sharing the iconic Guns N’ Roses tune.

    Cheers!

If not November rain or the Wreck of the Edmunds Fitzgerald what music could I share?

Okay, streets of Philadelphia by a widely acclaimed singer and one of the birthplace of the US so…

Any time of day is the right time for Springsteen music. Philadelphia. One of my son-in-laws grew up there. Of course he now lives in the great state of Virginia.

Afternoon, BAs! Sitting down now for some lunch, and sipping on a rather large beer to go with it.

Hello BAs. TA @Jack_14 for today's thread. Picking up where I left off last night plus a couple hrs wearing the BR450 backpack blower and oil & filter chx for my lil' lawn tractor. Thrilling. All this axes my chances of running today, and it's a gorgeous day, so BEER! Starting out splittin' wood with a nice DAB Export. I simply crush these brews. I hope they don't mind. :beers: Cheers!

Back from a week of camping on lowcountry South Carolina. Bike ride mornings, beer afternoons. There was a keg of non-alcoholic Holy City Brewing root beer that was good. We had five days of summer and two of autumn rain. Drying out the tent and doing laundry today.

DAB Export 2 on this fab day. Tasting great!
Played this tune last week at a gig and it started a quick conversation over the mics. "What's this song about anyway?" I chimed in quickly that "All signs point to Van's lady gettin' a kangaroo as a gift." :joy: Cheers!

Leaf duty finished. But I'm sure, by the end of the day, you won't be able to tell I did anything. Lots of leaves still clinging on for dear life in the tree. Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig straight out of the bottle, I prefer it that way.

    1) Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel (5.0%):
A German Dunkel with flavors of earthy Munich malt, brown bread, some chocolate and roast. Dry.
    versus
    2) Hofbrau Dunkel (5.5%): A German Dunkel with flavors of earthy Munich malt, brown bread, toast, and yeast. Mildly sweet, but relatively dry. (Correctly matched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    2) Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel:
German Dunkel Battle, and I've done this battle a time or two. First up is Ayinger, which I think is the best I've had. Brown bread, chocolate, faint roast along with earthy Munich malt flavors. It's dry and complex.
Next is Hofbrau. Same earthy Munich malt flavors. Slightly breadier and sweeter. Not quite as complex flavors here. Both are enjoyable, but Ayinger has more complexity.
