Didn't they used to be called Viking? Kinda cool that a town in the middle of nowhere had a brewery that survived for many years. If I recall their beer was a bit inconsistent.

Yes it was the Viking they sold the name.
There beer needs to be kept cold. Fresh it can be very good. I have been there 3 or 4 times this year.

Given the fact that they were in operation for thirty years, some degree of inconsistency isn’t too surprising. And I’d say that the same is true for any other brewery from that time (pre-Craft Era) and which has achieved such longevity.

Good beer, and great people. I wish them the best!

I know that I will try to get there one more time before it closes. I have always had a great time there.

Yep major bummer but understandable. Such a great place and great people. Lots of great memories there, especially their Oktoberfests. Definitely going there one more time before the current owners are done. Hopefully someone will buy it and keep it going.
