Finally Introducing Myself

Been a longtime user of BeerAdvocate starting in 2007 but was a lurker for a couple of years before that… Introduced to the site by @metter98.

I have been a fan of microbrews/craft beer since I worked in a pub during college in the early 90s. Once I tried it, I was hooked on better and more interesting beer than the fizzy yellow (not that I am opposed to drinking the fizzy yellow, everything has its time and place).

During my years of drinking interesting beer, I have been fortunate enough to have lived in several areas:

• Troy, NY
• Raleigh, NC
• Hoboken, NJ
• Greensboro, NC

I have also had the privilege of getting to do a fair amount of travel for business and pleasure, so I have gotten to sample the beers/bars/beer culture in a number of different countries and cities. Some of my favorites have been:

• Wellington, New Zealand
• Sydney, Australia
• Beijing, China
• São Paulo, Brazil
• Düsseldorf + Berlin + Hamburg + Munich, Germany
• Salzburg, Austria
• London, United Kingdom

I have also been a Moderator on BeerAdvocate since 2014.

I enjoy all beer styles and very much enjoy finding new to me beers and breweries. Have gotten to try beers from all 50 states + DC as well as all of the current styles. Always on the lookout for a beer from a new to me country.
