    G'day all!

This 2017 offering from Deschutes is holding up well. Some (goodish) oxidation, the alcohol seems to have calmed down. Generally, imho, tastier than when it was fresh.

    Prost!

    Happy sunny Wednesday BA's

Really nice weather here lately, esp. for mid-November! Supposed to be low 60's both today and Thursday....

Really like this local pumpkin stout - great flavor and not too sweet or heavy!

    nice dawn this am....

Got my 6th COVID shot this morning…back from the market now, working on my crab stock and having a lunch beer - WW’s “Pernicious”:

Rain all day so far ( which we really need). I may go to the pub, I may just stay home this wet dreary day. Cheers from Sunshine City y’all!

'ello mates! Thanks @DoctorZombies for 4043. A cracker of a day here so outdoors I go. Opening the velvet curtains of this Weihenstephaner 1516 Kellerbier. Last one from the 6pk. Some action in the skies and the usual air traffic is different today. Cheers!

    Hey BAs!

Beautiful afternoon here in NH, loving the weather lately.

Really digging this Weizenbock. Dare I say nearly as tasty as Vitus?

    1) Tucher Brau Helles (5.2%): A German Helles Lager with flavors of earthy Munich malt, German bread. Yeasty, bready, and lightly toasted on the finish.
    versus
    2) Ayinger Jahrhundert Bier (5.5%): A Europen Export from Germany with flavors of earthy Munich malt, hints of grass. Yeasty and bready on the finish. (Mismatched the two beers blind)

    Winner:
    German Lager Battle:
First up is Tucher Brau Helles. Haven't had it in a while, but I rated it very highly previously. Pours slightly darker. Very authentic flavors, lightly toasted.
Next is Ayinger Jahrhundert which is a European Export. I expected it to be slightly less bready than the Helles. Actually the flavors are nearly identical, maybe slightly less toasted. I think I might be able to tell them a bit more apart as they warm. Jahrhundert rarely loses, but I thought Tucher had slightly more pronounced flavors. I like a good, close beer battle and these seem nearly identical.
