Angels Envy bourbon finished in Port barrels

Glad Angels Envy is only a 375ml bottle. Taste buds are after something else. Pairs well with this beer it's just kinda dull...

 

Yep. That birch bark is almost like a match. When I go up North it's the main fuel there aside from some oak.

Never had the bourbon. Not sure if I ever had bourbon aged in port barrels. Looks good. How is it?

 

It's relatively cheap and not only is a tasty beer but super drinkable you know we're going to run with those points and raise the roof. I think it's awesome how 1 brewery can turn so many people on during a season every year.

It's unique. I wouldn't say it's bad. It's just different. Lower proof and it's a quick finish hints the dull remark. I wouldn't buy it again personally I like the traditional bourbon flavors to much and higher proof. I've been hesitant to grab a big bottle cause its not that cheap for what it is. To many better options imo.

This is the perfect beer after a long day. And it's even better when it's chased by a DIPA.

I'm still sitting on half of the 6+ cord my neighbor and I harvested last fall from a couple properties over.




Goes quick tho. We like to play Jenga!



Current best is 3x9 high stack. I guess it's a bit indulgent.

Sometimes a good burn here or at my neighbor's pit will be 1/4 cord haha.

I've been blazing through the Pecan pile we had going. That old stuff burns ridiculously fast. I got some big pieces coming up I'm setting aside until I really need it.

 

Real Ale Commissar Russian Imperial Stout in the glass. Like everything in this mixed six pack of Quad, Scotch Ale, and RIS, very underrated and one of the best mix packs I can find.

Nik Bartsch's Entendre album spinning. Excellent solo piano album that boarders on more classical than jazz.

Oooo. Savory pecan. I could only imagine what pecan barrel staves would do to enhance booze...hmmm.
