Haven't seen a thread for 2023 yet and with their 4 year anniversary coming up this weekend figured I'd start one.

Here's last year's thread, Instagram, and website. Also @RBCBrams17 has been great for answering any questions.

Who's going to the anniversary party tomorrow? Very excited for the beer.

Piano Bridge, Baltic porter, collaboration with Art History is very drinkable.

BA Kamoho and Marshmallow Mountain (More collab) are two top tier BA stouts. I’m spoiled to be able to grab these together this weekend. Truly one of the most underrated barrel programs in Chicagoland!

BA Kamoho is amongst their best. Along with BA Secret Burrito (#1!) and their IV.

Haven't had the marshmallow since it just released. Good to hear it's no slouch.

Yeah can confirm the Marshmallow Mountain is very good. Along the same lines of the BA Campfire from memory anyways

Agree. Had it at Morefest and grabbed a bottle yesterday.

Riverlands Black Friday releases are Tranquil (no adjuncts) and BA Secret Burrito (Mexican hot chocolate).

Assuming in person only for the first weekend and then online after that per their recent release schedule.

@RBCBrams17 any chance we can get a note on the barrel for the new Tranquil? Excited for Black Friday!

Just pulled that out of the barrels today! 18 months in Buffalo Trace barrels, which have been my favorite to work with so far. Big chocolate notes from the base beer. The barrels gave a good mix of spirit and oak tannins and the usual beautiful vanilla/maple/coconut notes that come with that. I think it’s our best Tranquil to date

Better than the Pappy Tranquil Reserve?

@RBCBrams17 Are you brewing/distributing Juleol this year? Only had it once a few years ago but really enjoyed it.

I won’t be able to say for sure until I have a proper pour on tap, but I think so. The barrel character on the Pappy barrels was great, but I think we put a better base stout in here. 18 months ago is when we really started dialing in our stout base that was only going into barrels. Not having to worry about releasing any of it fresh let us amp up the dark malts. Over the top when fresh, but ages nicely

We aren’t this year, but we’ve had enough people ask about it that we’re bringing it back next year

I've been really out of the beer game lately, but I think I'm gonna jump back in to get some Tranquil
