Is Atlas still opening a brewery in Alexandria at the "end of the year" like they announced at the beginning of the year?

I noted this in the BCBS '23 thread in the Beer Releases forum, but this may be a helpful PSA for those not following:

 

I’m driving in to DC to a Costco this weekend, do they have any notable beers worthwhile I can’t get up in MD? I may also hit up Dominion in Falls Church if I have time.

 

Dominion will have a much better selection than Costco. Also check out The Brew Shop in Arlington. In DC, Craft Beer Cellar is the place to go.

the brew shop has plenty of parking garages near by but the craft beer cellar sucks for parking. I prefer dominion over both due to the easy parking.

 

With CBC, I've rarely had trouble finding street parking on 3rd Street between F and G. I don't think I've ever struck out on street parking at Brew Shop. Agree Dominion is the easiest of the three.

 

If you are going to the DC Costco, stock up on liquor (the selection is insane, as that is where Capitol Hill crowd goes for their liquor), but skip the beer, and drive about a mile or two down the road and hit up Other Half, plenty of parking on the street and in the nearby parking garage…

 

Random question: anyone seen any Sir Isaac’s BCBS on the shelves getting dusty from last year? I’m in search of a bottle or two in NoVA. Thank you in advance!!

 

I saw a couple bottles on the back shelf of Harry’s Reserve in Navy Yard a few weeks ago, as well as some previous years’ variants

Sorry, not NoVA either, but Cairo in DC has it (along with other dusty BCBC variants)

 

Not sure if it was Sir Issac’s but I saw a fancy box (either blue or black box) of a 2022 BCBS variant at Ye Olde Spirits in Frederick MD for like $45 just the other day. Only 1 on the shelf.

 

I can confirm Harry's still has Sir Isaac's, as well as last year's 30th Anny.

 

Intellectual curiosity - thoughts as to why places around here do not have BC tap takeovers with the annual release or really get kegs. It is tied to sales, availability, cost?
