Long week of work complete, enjoying a Stone IPA. I had to dig deep to get a 12 pack that wasn't already past the best by date. This 12 pack had a best by date of 12/29 (the only one), the rest were best by 11/7. I explained to the lady that if I'm going to drop $20 on it I'm not going to buy beer that's already past it's best by date. It's not their fault per se, it's the distributors bringing in old beer.

There's a new liquor store that opened in May and when I stopped by there to check it out, half of their beer was really old - as far back as 2022 and way past the best by dates. Obviously, it didn't get that old sitting in the store so it had to be the distributors delivering old beer.

I've got a semi-secret-source for Heady nearby that not only gets it about once a month, they've offered to set some aside for me each drop, proving the principle that ye should always be good to your beermongers. As for the beer, it's as magnificent as ever.

I agree. I also just re-re-rated/reviewed it to the positive. This version of me is enjoying the hoppy red/amber - a style I had previously not been too fond of.

It's technically campari but it is selected WT barrels blended together similar to the rare breed actually just 107 proof. Very tasty stuff its in a 375ml bottle btw. It's worth grabbing without a doubt. It doesn't indicate that it's WT but it is imo.

Yea i have no problem digging around and pulling out the freshest beer or asking if a fresher date is stacked in the cooler.
