Anyone have any info on this release? From their website it looks like a "Four Rye Dark Ale" but as usual their website does not give any details. Sounds intriguing. Then again, a person has to actually find it somewhere...
Picked some up this week. A good cold weather ale along the lines of some of the past Snowstorm releases. Nothing crazy, just an easy drinking non stout option for winter. The rye flavor is there, but more towards the mild side. For those looking for a stronger rye flavor, check out Modist Marble Rye. I found that beer to be fantastic and full of rye.
I really enjoyed Summit’s (on hiatus or possibly permanently discontinued) Frostline Rye, so I’m hoping this will be my go-to local option this year.
The rye / malt presence is quite dry and enjoyable. I think that given the lack of sweetness from the malt, the 35 IBU it is a little hoppier than I'd like it to be - but that's me. After a few sips it grew on me and I ended up enjoying it more. Twelve cans is enough. I don't think that I will buy another. Purchased at Top Ten - Blaine.
