Dino Bite and a basic old school jawn.

This was a wedding gift and has opened thousands of beers, recently though it’s not getting much use as cans seem to dominate. The tail is made to hang on a belt loop. It has some weight to it and feels good in the hand.

    Enjoy

I picked a couple of these up a few years ago, both new. These were largely sold in the 1980's and were intended as functional artwork. They're quite heavy, made out of stainless steel and bronze, and a great opener. They turn up on Ebay, often with promotional printing. This is my current go-to opener.

I don't know. It's like picking your favorite child (sez the guy with no kids). One of these, I guess.

Most used over the past 20 years - this Knickerbocker opener tied to the door of the beer fridge.
Why Knickerbocker? +20 years later, when I first set up the refrigerator in the mud room, don't remember. Just went into the cellar, found my box of doubles/traders and grabbed it. Long handle meant better leverage, but...

I collected and used these for years, have 20+ of them, several like new. They come in gold, red, blue, plain, and there's a long-handled one.

    I stumbled across this one like new and had to have it. There are newer ones made mostly of plastic, but this one is old and all metal;

I found a Redskins bottle opener in a parking lot years ago. Washed it off, threw it on my keychain, never looked back. I don't even watch/follow pro football... I just needed a bottle opener I could have close by when needed.

What was I thinkin'! Most used over the past +40 years, since it's been on my key ring for that long (approx. when I started collecting openers), so long most of the embossing has been worn off.

Why Krueger? Great NJ brewery, I remember a K-Man billboard I used to see as a kid out the window in the back seat of the Willys, got a pic of my ol' man and grandmother drinking cans of Krueger in a park, and the classic Ballantine opener design(s) were too big for comfort in one's pocket (1" longer than the Krueger), some didn't have holes for a keyring while on the newer ones they were offset, etc.

(Of course, there is one in the kitchen drawer and another hanging in the garage and one in the cellar...)

My most unique opener was from the Jack Daniels Brewery.
It's a metal pointing finger spinner that says "You Pay".
I really liked their flagship lager back in the day.
Again, I wish posting pictures was easier, oh well.
The one I use the most however is the one mounted to my Keezer.
That's where I keep the bottled beer.

My favorite bottle opener is made by Park Tools (they make bicycle tools), it fits perfectly in my hand and takes little effort to pop the caps off. I don't collect bottle caps, but this opener leaves the caps in good shape for those who do

It's often seen in such posts as - Drinking Snappy @Shanex and damn it I lost my opener

The other opener isn't one of my favorites, but it is made of Damascus steel and if I ever encounter a bottle that requires that type of steel to open, I'll be prepared

Pardon the "junk drawer" patina. These are all hand-me-downs that together make up my little collection: Iron City, Vaughan's (opener brand), Coors, Schmidt's, Budweiser, Pabst, Duquesne, and Renner (from my hometown of Youngstown, OH). Cheers! :beers:

This opener was given to me by a young German girl who our family hosted for a school year back in the 90's for her senior year. When she came back for a visit a few years later she brought this because she knew that I was a beer lover. There is no "Made In ___" statement on it, so I don't know if she brought it from Germany or picked it up at the airport on her way here. It has "Cheers" in 10 languages on the back side.

The token is from Wehrenberg Theaters, which was a chain in the St. Louis area where we used to live. I put it on the top of my cap to prevent a crease when prying it off. (A quarter works just as well.) I am a cap collector, and I haven't creased a cap in years. It stays in the drawer with my opener.

When you place the opener over the cap at a 45 degree angle, the ridge inside the opener goes under the cap and it takes it right off as you push down on the opener. Hard to describe, but it works great, pretty effortless.

I see there are many on Ebay now if you search the following:

I really wish I had a picture of the Yards bottle opener keychain I had that a coworker at the brewery last year had dated back to the mid 90s. I got it from the yards sales rep in 2015 before I worked at the brewery and the guy dating it has worked there for a very long time. Wish I still had it but I gave it to the brewery to have as like a “museum” type thing
