In the end everything is about money. TH is a corporation now and I’m sure have some sort of executive board, and investors. The properties they purchase and develop cost tons of money (disclosed in the recent economic impact presentation). These people obviously want to make a profit on their investment. Hence why 12oz of Truth is $20 and yet the “greedy awful mega corp ABinBev” sells BCBS for $12.99 per 16.9oz bottle.

Note: i would still pay $20 for a bottle of Truth if there was still some left tomorrow

 

TH is a closely held LLC. The executive board is Lanier and Goudreau. That's it. Most of the small investors have already been bought out of their shares. Granger appears to be one of the few (only?) remaining, minority, stake holders. If you read the complaint, it's not a good look. Some of the alleged behavior resembles money laundering techniques, used by corporations to shield profits from legitimate shareholders (and/or taxes). But, as previously mentioned, after being called out, it appears efforts have been made to transfer assets from the Lanier and Goudreau owned Real Estate LLCs, back to the THBC LLC. I guess we'll see how it plays out, legally. I also agree that most TH customers will never hear about any of this or care.

I'll still buy their beer. This kind of corporate litigation happens every day

I was explaining what was going on to my wife as she saw me scroll through this thread and I gotta say, saying everything aloud has made me extremely disappointed in all of this. This is some Adam Neumann ass shit. Excuse my language.

 

Odd fact, Truth is one of the few beers that is cheaper on tap. Which is what I did this year. Grabbed a pour, left the bottle. Yes, it’s a great damn beer. Yes, I’ll grab a mag if they release for the new year

 

The litmus test is just to explain to an uninterested/objective party and catch their reaction. How does this sound to them? We have courts for a reason, though. Whoever said 80% won’t care was wrong. It’s closer to 99%.

It seems like the actual legal wrong (real estate leasing LLCs) amongst all the other noise has been rectified, so the plaintiff will likely settle for a portion of the profits from the previous self dealing. To give the attorneys a taste and due to the deceptive nature of the setup, maybe he scores more like 10% of the proceeds rather than the 2% stake that is rightly owed back.

 

As a community of alcohol enthusiasts, we must support TH in these dire circumstances by buying as many on site pours (three) as possible, as Nate may need winter tires for the Land Rover.

 

Let us not forget the amount of disrespect that this lawsuit brought to the Wagoneer.
