    Had this on tap tonight at Bottle Logic. This is 2023 Darkstar November aged in a single Woodford bourbon barrel. One of the three specialty releases to celebrate their 10th anniversary. Incredible beer.

    Had a special one yesterday for review #2000, Toppling Goliath Vanilla Bean Assassin!

    The nose had me concerned a bit at first. Even though it was very good, it was mostly about the vanilla with some supporting notes of fruit and booze. In taste thankfully it opened up a ton with way more fruit, wood, and booze, though vanilla still tied it all together. This is a wonderful beer worthy of the hype, and reaching 2000 reviews gave me points to bump me up from Pooh-Bah to Grand Pooh-Bah, nice!

    Picked up a variety of Dogfish Head stouts over the weekend using my homebrewer discount. Got the 2017 Oak aged vanilla World Wide Stout, Wake Up World Wide Stout, and Bourbon Barrel aged World Wide Stout. Will be great to age these awhile along with the Utopias Barrel aged 120min IPA I got!

    3 F's Crushing Mass, a sessionable 15.1%...I may not sleep tonight, lotsa tasty bitter coffee in this one along with some molasses to balance it....

    Black Strap Stout : East End Brewery
    This one pours an obsidian black with a nice tan head that stood around for awhile.
    The nose is roast with a hint of that sweet molasses and American hops.
    The mouthfeel is thin, probably from the molasses fermenting out.
    The taste is dry , bitter, roasty with a slight coffee hint. Nice little chocolate but with the American hops and dark malts and molasses fermenting out it’s dry and bitter.
    Overall a I think it’s what a stout should be. At least what I want when I reach for one.

    I think this is one of my top 3 Russian Imperial Stouts from Illinois.
    Destihl - Dosvidanya BBA Russian Imperial Stout
    I say think cuz I've had so many from there from a bunch of brewers that i don't recall and i don't really log or review beers anymore. Take that Dementia!!@

    Kokytus from Martin House. Imperial Stout aged 4 to 5 months in rye whiskey barrels with cacao nibs, brewed with brown sugar. Thanks @beergoot for this treat!

    The cacao is noticeable throughout. It's dry and roasty up front, building to a really intense chocolatey note with minimal sweetness at the finish. Love it. I get some oak, molasses, ash, and burnt sugar at the edges plus biting whiskey at the exhale. Big, bold flavors here and the14% is extremely well masked. Love this one, thanks again Dave!

    @sulldaddy this is among my top 20 Imperial Stouts that you've sent me.
    Brought this to share at my favorite watering hole . Upon walking in someone i met here that brings stuff to share was here along with the owner of the Legendary, but now defunct , Sunset Beer.
    Ended up being 6 of us sampling this treat.
    Damn what a Big Beer!
    Sessionable 16.1%

    Pumpkin Spice Yeti Imperial Stout on Thanksgiving Eve. Solid Yeti with the pleasant flavors of the season coming through. Nice after hockey beer!
