Old Irving Krampus Cookies 2023, a BA Impy Milk Stout. My suggestion would be cut the addedjunk in half, eliminate the, milk sugar and they'd have a winner! Way too sweet.

Ink black body, opaque; thick, frothy, lasting tan head. Cocoa and dark chocolate aroma; rich brownie suggestion; twinge of spiciness; dark roasted grain. Dense, rich flavor; milk chocolate with smidgen of booziness; outstanding dark roasted grain with a touch of char; vanilla. Heavy, oily mouthfeel; viscous; slippery and oozing.

One can count on Verboten to make some incredible dense and complex dark beers. This one is no exception.

Yes, I was surprised you picked up that Old Irving selection. The others are great and peeps shouldn't sleep on Drago. Having FOMO since I'm want to be under 100 beers by NYE 2024, but would love everything you purchased in my cellar / shopping cart / dreams.

What is your favorite Frozen Pizza?

This is the last CBS in my possession, between moving on from a sweet stout phase early in my craft exploration and the fact they changed from maple barrels to I guess maple dumped in the beer, I'm out. That said, this 2017 version is great, because the maple is still there but subtle and well balanced, and also digging the coffee and base. Didn't plan on a cellar review but it's really good so I'll be in that thread in a bit.

I think the 2023 is still worth a try. It wasn't as good as 2018 (never had 2017), but I'll still enjoy the other 3 bottles I have

I've learned the hard way, Old Irving's been a bit of a bummer. I used to buy Drago in bottles for a sawbuck back in the day, now its 2 for $20.

Frozen Pizza, I'm a Vito & Nicks fan. Lot'sa good ones at the local Woodmans though....

Found CBS in the crawl space the other day, been years since Ive had one, probably wont care for it now.

Early start today, but I couldn’t risk dying tomorrow and never trying this year’s vintage. Damn, it’s good. This is very similar to 2020 (my favorite as mentioned countless times) but it has a slight bit of the dark fruit thing that Deth’s Tar is kicking out this year as well. Lots of chocolate, some coconut, and very slight vanilla. Bourbon. Almost none of that anise/licorice thing that had plagued 2021 and 2022 (less so in the 2022). I still won’t buy the backyard, but the bottle of banana I have is definitely interesting me even more now

Wasn’t Lizard of Koz way better than this KBS variant ? That’s my memory of Koz (though many did not like it).

Yes, it was as balanced as could be expected, so I solo-domed the 750 ML and was knocked out for a few hours.

Yes, this one is much different. It was my first KBS purchase in a few years and I think I'll just stick with their Imperial Stout and Porter at this stage.

@Beersnake1 - Love both the AleSmith and the Duchesse!
