Here’s a general question that I thought about thanks to your clever ornament idea…is this vialing thing all just for the tick? If so, is it any better when someone chases a 10 yr old beer that’s a shell of its former self?

Shit. What are the chances on-site pours of OWK and MJK last through December? Thibking about a getaway weekend with wife and our 3 year old son.

Also, have any locals eaten at a restaurant called Sado? If so, thoughts?

 

So packs are being picked up, but I never saw a picture of the glass. Does anyone have a pic of it? Is it the same glass as last year?

I think it is basically the logo off of the chalice placed on the glasses they use in the taproom.

The glass from a few years ago with the lightbulbs all over was the best one so far…

 

i like last year’s a lot too. the silver rimmed snifter with the light bulb on one side and BBT on the other. those two (2021 & 2022) are definitely the best ones.

 

They really phoned in that design.

Just stop doing the glasses. No one cares about them. It’s the same with packaging for beers (whether that is KBBS, Horus, BCBS, or SP). This includes the (literally) $1 bags they have used in the past. Just stop.

 

My sense is they do the glasses and bags for branding. But I generally agree that the Side Project brand is so well known that a glass or a tote bag are not going to make or break their reputation. Most of us have too many glasses among too many beers, so accumulating more glasses, beer, and tote bags is like total denial that you have a hoarding problem.

I would gladly pay for the unbranded stout glasses they use at the cellar though. Those are slick. Best glasses for serving dark beers IMO.
