Totally agree, reminds me of the 2021 vintage. It has a lot of the characteristics of DBVSOJ, but not as sweet. The nose is just incredible.

DBVSOD is a tour de force. I can't imagine a better offering from Rev without there being too much barrel influence. Adjunct-free BA stout lovers rejoice!

Looking forward to VSOR Select and On & On Part III. Shaping up as a premier year for Deep Woods!

Drinking my can of Cafe Deth I bought awhile ago. For being 14.8%, it sure doesn't taste like it. Maybe as it warms that may come through.

It's pretty good. That's about as detailed of a beer review I can give.

 

I picked up Dread and Breakfast last week based on @BeerCruncher ’s insight on here. Just opened a can and I love its complexity. I regret being slow to jump on this one

 

Any thoughts on the Revelation's colab with Garrett's Popcorn? I sampled it last night and thought it was on the mark for what it is.

Opened a 2023 Cafe Deth. Man, this thing used to be a coffee bomb, what happened? I had high expectations so I was a little disappointed to see it was so muted.

 

Expressed the same in an earlier post soon after the release. Felt it had more of a dry element / less coffee punch. Very good beer, but it has never touched OG draft which I thought was nearly perfect. The first batch of supermassive came close.

 

I think its fine, bought a 4 pack last year, I think I had it on draft somewhere when it came back out this year. Salted Caramel Brown Ale is def a beer that I enjoy, interesting to see them do it with Garrett's instead of just calling it like Popcorn Woman or whatever.

 

I had a DB VSOD last night and certainly enjoyed it as expected. It does straddle that line of sweet/too sweet for me but it was still drinkable enough for me to take care of the fan serving size. I almost hesitate to make this hot take, but I think Dread & Breakfast may be ahead of it in my Deep Woods rankings for the fall

 

Baphomet is great as always. I love the can art on this one.

 

VSOR & Boss Jacket are on draft starting now at the Taproom. If you ask politely, they will make you an unadvertised crowler.
