Another night of work is behind me. Going to take advantage of the quiet house and review a beer before bed.

This song played ironically as I pulled in the drive. Probably the thing I hate most about night shifts...

Beauregard - Stout Á L'Avoine (Nitro)

Some morning jus noire, in lieu of coffee. This is from a microbrewery and distillery in Montreal, Quebec.

 

Starting the week with a fresh and fruity DIPA by Walhalla, a local favourite of mine. This is their newest special, canned just four days ago and that freshness is really noticeable. Good beer to drink after returning from a long bike ride in the freezing cold!

Today is the second of twelve days we bottom out at 4:19 PM sunset before reversing the tide on the 15th. New Years Eve marks the first of eight of the latest sunrise we must bear (7:18 AM).

@micada in response to your reply yesterday about raising children. Lol so prerequisite she’s about 3. Has her own room and I crack all the doors at night so if she gets up or whatever she can come in our room or I can hear her it’s hardwood floor. Anyways. In relation to that she comes and gets me up this morning on the rare day she beats me awake. It’s very early And she holds up a quarter and says “I’m eating”. So that’s great lmao meanwhile I can tell she had shit herself by the smell. It may be a little frustrating now but these are the things I’ll remember and it’s actually already funny hoping she didn’t actually swallow any coins. Also. My house is clean. If anybody ever needs something lost…found….have a baby they’ll be sure to find it anywhere.

Good Monday BA's! It's an overcast 72 with a bit of a breeze. 3.5 mile walk complete and a hot pastrami and swiss is ready for lunch. Celebration in the glass, back outside for some chores shortly.

Let us try something new. I suspect I will hate. but well. It is Dutch, will pretend it is good.


But to be honest, it is a disgusting artificial beer with way too much sugar in it.
Drink a few of those and a splitting headache is guaranteed.
Shame on you AB Inbev.

 

Today is my birthday. My wife and daughter gave me the most beautiful present, 4 liters of one of my favorite beers. I’m truly blessed. Cheers!
