Good morning BAs! Reset my body clock with a good night’s sleep…I’ve had a cup…now for a breakfast beer courtesy of my buddy @Shanex who made sure I had beers waiting for me at my hotel upon arrival - Houthakker Pale Ale by Brasserie 3 Monts, France:

Light bitter lemon taste with a floral hop nose. An outstanding beer to start my day - Thank you P!

Low 40s, gloomy rainy day forecast…perfect weather to browse the city’s Christmas markets. Last night at the London Bridge Christmas market, I arrived as the choir was singing one of my all time favorite Xmas tunes - Christmas in the Drunk Tank:

Cheers and have a wonderful Wednesday y’all!

    Good morning D.!

Glad that both the beers and you made it to London. Weather is expectedly cold and gloomy.
I also had a more restful night after a few days of tedious body aches. Going to the physical therapist in a bit and will join you later on with something.

    Cheers!

And for the curious, the song I mentioned above is “Fairytale of New York” by The Pogues. Cheers y’all!

    Good morning to all Advocates,
I'm not a fan of this style of beer, but this one is from a friends' brewery and I had never tried it yet:
BIRRIFICIO PONTINO (Latina, ITA) - LICK IT - Pastry Stout (7,3%)
New beer, inspired by the SNICKERS snack with peanuts, cocoa and caramel.
On the nose, typical sweet smell of chocolate, almond paste, slightly toasted.
Poured makes a decent creamy beige foam cap.
It's impenetrable black (no lighter reflections).
In the mouth, the usual dense and oily bomb, sweet but not cloying as the caramel taste that I expected to be more evident, is actually quite well hidden by the predominant taste of cocoa and peanuts. Precisely this last hint (peanuts, toasted almonds) reappears on the tongue in the finish, making the drink less heavy than I thought.
Drink lightened by oats but also slightly silky.
I must say that although I'm certainly not a lover of this style, I have drunk products that gave me a decidedly more "artificial" taste and which often tended towards cloying...
Nothing memorable, but it went above and beyond expectations.
It might appeal to those who like this modern style of beers.

Back with a few ounces of Utopias 2019.
It's good but if this was the first Utopias that I bought and tried, I would not have bought it again. I think I still have a few ounces of the 2009 left. For a special occasion.

    Prost!

Hey BAs! Thanks @DoctorZombies for 4064. Happy travels to you! <>Today I am truly free of any obligations with the exception of making a few minor adjustments and tweaks on the ass-kicking machine I built to kick my own ass. :nerd: It's early for me but I got outa bed 5 hrs ago and I feel like havin' an ice cold one.
This is truly a fine beer from our friends at Fulton Brewing and I'm thoroughly entertained that Geddy, Alex & Co chose Fulton to rock this brew. RUSH Golden Ale. I only have 2 rock n roll band beer cans. Both brews were/are very good indeed. Cheers!

Happy Wednesday / Hump day BAs

Made a 40 minute drive north to visit an amazing beer store Tuesday afternoon (Mack's Beverage, in Parma OH) - got some great beers that I never see around my area of Akron - including this tasty pils from Germany! Yum!

shout out to Steve / aka @jesskidden - we did a beer glass trade some years ago - love this glass and the beer!

I'm back with a beer that I could have sworn that I had reviewed before but alas, nay.

Probably a good thing since this is the freshest that I can remember seeing. Best by August 2nd 2024.

    Prost!

Good day BAs! Off to a frosty start here in the wilds of Pennsyltucky. Got the plastic tree up yesterday - much better than the Amy Winehouse tree (dead and leaves needles everywhere).

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:
