Great news for Uff-Da lovers. It's currently available at the Kenosha Woodman's. I just picked up a case. I don't know how I've not opened any of it yet, but after 2 days in my basement, my case is still sealed. Methinks I'll have to fix that this evening.

Anyone had IPA lately? Heading up to Green Bay and can stop at Woodman’s. Wanted to see if this one is still fresh enough or if it’s long in the tooth.

I was hopping for a return of the IPA and the Naked, but not fooling myself, I will buy the Kolsch and the bock!

Going by their other seasonals, I would guess it extends into the schedule longer that what they posted....?

I find it weird that they released two "normal" bocks in succession, Uff-Da and Back 40. (You could say they were released bock to bock.)

However I am not complaining, I will take any bocks I can get. Also in the past year or so they had Gyrator doppelbock and Weizen Doppelbock, so it's been a good year. I liked the bocks, the pils was great, Enigma was excellent as usual. I even liked the Spotted Cow Grand Cru (it is not very similar to the regular Spotted Cow).

I did think the scotch ale and the 30th anniversary beer were good as well, although they were a little on the sweet side for me.

Overall, I can't complain about the year.

    So...no Pilsner this year?

Edit: Didn't see this only went until March. I did a dumb.

One NG bust for me this past year was, sadly, Staghorn. I had it once on tap and once in a bottle, and each time it had a strange taste. Metallic, maybe, I don't really remember, it's been a few months. So I didn't buy any more after those two. :slight_frown:

Looking forward to Dancing Man. I wish that came out yearly.

Based on their podcast, seems like Pilsner will be back. Various conversations about securing ingredients for it have popped up there.

I may be in the minority on this, but I would be just fine if NG never made Spotted Cow Grand Cru again.

I'm probably in the EXTREME minority, but I'd be fine if they discontinued Spotted Cow.

I'm probably one of the bigger NG "homers" here (My family has a place in WI that I've spent much of my life in, and I buy pretty much every beer NG releases), but I've never really gotten Spotted Cow.

To be fair, it isn't a style that appeals much to me; I've always thought of it as kind of a gateway beer between, say, Budweiser and co, and craft. I say all this without judgement though, because we've all got comfort beers that 90% of this forum would shit on, lol.

Spotted Cow is an absolute enigma...and no where near as good as Enigma.

If they discontinued Spotted Cow there would be no more New Glarus, as that's what pays the bills.
