Cory has stated that Langst is an ode to Hair of The Dog's beer Adam. I think that may be where the Langst Adambier descriptor may come from

 

I wish the window closes after pick ups so we can hear some reviews. Did they preview the beeest langst at all? I loved batch 1 and 2, batch 3 was good but a bit different than the first 2 batches

For the inquiring minds blended 2023 will be released, but will make it's appearance in 2024. Corey stated that the bottle conditioning could take as little as two months, but up to 6 or more. Being bottled very soon.

The first LC Silent barrel will be an OH (Other Half) collab stout blended with a small bit of anabasis. Rested in a Willet 5yr bourbon barrel for 46 months. Paired with a sexy ass dark green wax. Bottled still. 375ml and 25-30 cases are expected. LC exclusive with no public option.

"Each barrel, no matter the recipe, the age or the type of spirit it once held, has its own personality. Much like the Bourbon and Whiskey world, bottling them straight from the barrel, unblended and still, can allow us to share with you the closest thing to the barrel-picking experience."

 

Great process yesterday! Lot of fun and well done by the SP team. Those that haven’t done it yet will be in for a treat.

 

I’m confused because the Silent Barrel program is supposed to be unblended single barrels of stout, but this is stout blended with barleywine.

 

I'm not sure that it was supposed to specifically be only stout. Only just that the barrel will be presented as itself and not blended into anything else.

 

I assume then you mean the stout and barleywine were blended before they went into the barrel? So it is a single barrel of a stout/barleywine blend

 

They sometimes top off barrels that had evaporation/weren’t full with leftover beer from other brewing sessions.
