Two of my local bottle shops put together their own "custom" Advent boxes, but I did not partake. I like that idea, though... assuming the beer people have half a clue.

Here's mine. The wife made this using pringle tubes and a lot of cardboard. I'm surprised it took the weight to be honest. No idea what's inside as she likes to pick them, I just ask that's there are sours!

Probably has better beers than any store bought Advent calendar! Post what you get each day so we can all see as I'm curious to see what you got.

Thanks, I think it's pretty cool too.

Thank you. I not only have a amazing wife, I have a great friend and someone who I'd be lost without with.

I did think about posting each days beer but thought that might be a bit spammy. I have posted the first 3 days worth in the WBAYDK threads. Thank you for taking any interest though

Day 1 - Belgian Christmas by Simple Things Fermentations - Belgian Strong Dark Ale
Day 2 - A Christmas Pale by Anspach & Hobday - Pale Ale
Day 3 - My Kind of Maybe by Verdant Brewing Co - NEIPA

@Dethark I doubt there's a commercially available calendar that could possibly compare to that awesome labor of love!

Curious to know if anyone took the plunge on the Bell's Advent Calendar?

12 days in, first half of the Brewdog advent calendar complete.

Favorite so far was North Pole Pale. Least favorite was Santa Paws, the extremely rare case of me not finishing a beer - bad pithy aftertaste. Sad that the only dark(ish) beer has been the Amber Ale. It's wintertime, I was optimistic for at least a few dark beers. Too many IPAs

Daughter-in-law sent me a 12 x 12oz can Advent Calendar. I have been sampling it every other day to make it last until Christmas. After 5 beers my average BA rating has been 3.96 with a high score of 4.12. Everyone is a different style and all are new to me. Source was Givethembeer.com

So to close the loop on the Brewdog Advent calendar, this was the set half of beers.

Just too many IPAs overall. 13 of the 24 beers were IPAs. I was hoping for much more variety of styles for the Advent Calendar
