    This is Prancing Pony Black Ale from South Australia, best in show from the criminally under-represented Black IPA stable.

    Weekend off, made my last Christmas purchases, and I have more days off than I work for the rest of the year. Can't complain about that! Trying a new brewery, Manchester's First Chop. A good portion of this yeeted itself out of the can onto the table when I popped the tab. Thank for the clean up. Good bitter, though!

    More Mancunian stuff. This is Fields of Gold by Track. This is the first beer from Europe to use the hop NZH-101 and hot damn is it tasty! Sort of Nelsony, but not as peppery with some popsicle stuff happening as well. Looking forward to tasting more of this hop.

    Obvious musical choice.

    Good morning, afternoon and Saturday night BAs! My sleep schedule has been out of whack the past few days…up at 3am, just getting around to my “coffee” - Equilibrium’s “Accipiter” imperial stout with coconut macaroons, Thai bananas, and cacao nibs added:

    Bottled Sept. 2020. Poured at 58°. A recent gift from a friend. Bananas yes. Coconut no. Cloying chocolate syrup. Working on notes for NBW. I could only drink about 4 ozs. Sickeningly sweet.

    I’ll find something more to my liking momentarily. Cheers and have a great Saturday y’all!

    Bottled 8/1/23. Poured at 52°. Bourbon, chocolate and a little roast coffee. Dependably delicious!

    Gloomy sprinkling 65° morning…cool and damp stout weather. I think I’ll stay indoors and finish up my Christmas cards. Cheers y’all!
