You mean 4 packs, right. Six packs have not been around for years till this year again.

This is not a beer I would call sweet in any way but “sweet, I found a case”

Count me as also question your recollection since this hasn't been in 6 packs for close to a decade. But, to each their own of course.

I'd just suggest that anyone new to this beer recognize that the above opinion is an outlier and that year to year discussion of this beer generally circles around the balance of base stout roast/coffee, barrel/booze, and coffee.

No sign up here yet, but everywhere I've looked has still had Born Yesterday on the shelf. So I'm optimistic it's in county and just waiting for shelves to clear that crap

 

Thanks for the discussion on variability. I enjoyed the 2022 (and still have a couple left) and am looking forward to this year's.

 

Yes, I meant 4 packs. Really just meant multiple "packs". And while I did think last year's drank sweet to me, it was the lack of depth and complexity that i also felt was missing from the prior year. I'll try to give another single bottle a shot this year because I do love the value potential with this beer.

 

Haven't seen any floating around SE Michigan yet. Total Wine did have it in their online inventory and now it's gone so I may have missed it. I'll enjoy vicariously through you all who have bought some.

Is there a site that has release dates from breweries compiled together? I've seen sites that have compiled multiple breweries calendars into 1 place but nothing I can filter by month to see what's dropping. I feel like I miss some release dates simply because I don't know about them.

 

Total Wine in Durham,NC has it in stock. 13.99 a sixer.It's up .50 cents from the previous two years, but the six pack makes it an even better value than years past.

 

Can't wait to stock up again this year, especially with the move to 6 pack format. Going to have to keep my eyes peeled for this one. This is probably my most looked forward to beer release each year, followed closely by Celebration.

 

Just got word that it SHOULD be hitting the bay in the next few days.

I picked some up in Long Beach a few weeks ago, I just went out and checked to make sure my memory wasn’t off and saw that I picked up a 4 pack from 2022 that was still in the walk in. I think they had multiple cases, I can confirm that if anyone is interested in getting some.

 

I live in downtown LA...based on your name you know damn well i won't make that journey.

Yeah, I know all too well what you mean, but for me, It’s all in the timing. I go to downtown for work all the time, I can usually get there in a 1/2 hour or so, but I agree, an hour on the road for a 4 pack of beer is too much for me. Now if I were getting a case or two, the answer might change.

Plus Beachwood is just minutes away.
