    Correct. Here's the first run with the new branding: https://jacksabby.com/beers/dark-as-hell/. I was a few days early and just missed it the last time I went to the brewery, but I did have a can of the test batch they did at the end of summer: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/26520/668474/. It was quite good. Hopefully it maintains that quality as they ramp production for distribution next year.

    So, it is a Schwarzbier: "...brewed in the style of a traditional schwarzbier".

    P.S. A local (to me) craft brewery, Von C Brewing, regularly has a Schwarzbier on tap and on a less regular basis they have a beer they brand as Černé Speciál (Černé is the Czech word for black). I posted a photo of this beer in the Czech Dark Lager thread last spring:

    Just visited the brewery and had:
    Aussie Salute a coolpool Aussie Pilsner
    Dark as Hell
    Welcome to the Bockside

    all enjoyable. I think I’d rank them in order I listed and drank them actually. Aussie Salute really hit the spot

    Jack's Abby is the brewery that makes the most beers I drink. Lucky for me, it became easier to find them here in Brooklyn. Below is the list of JA beers I have in the fridge. I hope next year, it will only get better — I need more 12oz 12-packs.

    I wonder if someone from the grocery store nearby is on BA. They had two mixed 12-packs for a couple of months, but I didn't want all the beers in them. Today, they broke up these packs, so I ended up with only what I liked. Adding Hoponius Union to the list above. While it is one of the year-round releases, I didn't see it for a few years.
