Poll: Thread of the Year 2023

I’m the guy who remembers to vote for himself. Too bad we can’t have ranked choice voting!

 

You got to vote for the one beer you want back thread, because I told you folks in my very first post here how I wanted the first beer bottled by Fauerbach brewery brought back because I broke it when I was a kid.

That bottle dated back to 1848. Fauerbach stopped brewing in 1966.

I mean, c'mon... reflect on the title of the thread, it's advocacy for a lighter side of things, the history of that brewery and that family, and I may still be a wanted man by that family...

At least go back and find my post before you vote!

My favorite thread of the year, just like every year, is the "What Northwest Beer Are You Drinking Now?" thread in the Northwest forum.

Informative, entertaining, and immediately relevant to my interests. Can't beat that.

Can’t believe you included WBAYDN 7/11. That was a nonsense joke I threw out there to provide a little levity. And so far two people have voted for it.

Anyway yes I like the idea of making this an annual year-end feature, if someone can remember to do it next time. Cheers!

 

Aaaaaghhhh!! So many choices!!!! Maybe next year, set it up as a Thread of the Year Tournament, kind of like March Madness which I enjoyed the hell out of. I had to vote for Smoked Beer, though, since I nominated it. (Sorry, @ChicagoJ !)

 

For the record.,. I wasn’t one who voted for the ‘Epic’ WBAYDN 7/11 thread.,.
Winner has to be ‘Imperial Stout Appreciation’.,. now pushing toward 170 pages.,.

 

I would encourage those who did vote for WBAYDN to change their votes, as that was not a serious nomination and really shouldn’t be considered (though if I’m being honest, I’d find it hilarious if it won)…

Do you mean to say, my poolside Foster's Premium Ale in the party cup post wasn't noteworthy? Actually, I voted for March Madness, hope to see it again next year @ChicagoJ

There were 519 beers enjoyed and 1,154 posts in the inaugural March Beer Madness tournament. Hoping we can score more in 2024!

No way my thread is winning lol that just made my whole day, week, month, year! Thank everyone so much!

 

This is a fun idea. Make it a month long tournament with one round per week, starting with 32 nominees.

And since we will have challenge coins next year, (I hope I hope) maybe the Master of Ceremonies will spring for a coin to the winner. HA! Sorry @Taylor_Maierhofer1996 you may have been a year too early, (got my vote anyway.)
