Just curious what everyone's go-to beer is?

Mine is Zombie Dust. I keep it in the beer fridge all the time. I prefer it in bottles, but will drink it in cans if my local store does not have bottles.

Heady Topper (when available). Otherwise, Sip Of Sunshine. For darker and heavier beers, The Abyss is my go to.

If Celebration was year-round it would be in my fridge at all times. Same for Stone Flower from Forest and Main, but thankfully they always have some other Mild/Bitter available.

I love The Abyss. I have several bottles in my 'cellar'! Oldest is 2014 I think.

Sea Hag by NEBCO. Wernesgruner at Aldi. Soft spot for Jai Alai if it’s within a month or so. Especially in 12 packs. 12 pack bottles of two roads - Road to ruin (14 bucks no less!). Anything seasonal by Sierra Nevada is usually a hit (powder day, celebration, narwhal, Bigfoot, summerfest, ofest and so on)

If I had a go-to beer, and if we could get Tropicalia, it would be that. Since we can't get Tropicalia, it would have been PseudoSue until we started getting Zombie Dust. Now it would be a toss-up, with the tie-breaker going to Zombie Dust if we could get it in bottles.

If we could get Zombie Dust in 7-ounce bottles, I would have a go-to beer.

I was totally off the reservation on my rating for MBC's MO, another world-class American pale ale. I happened to sample it one week past the bottling date and it was incredible. Not a fan of their one-liter bottles, though. Nor of the price.

I try to keep Leinenkugel Summer Shandy’s stocked up from March-November. I fucking love the lemon, so refreshing on a hot July afternoon. Guinness is my go to when neither Leinies nor craft beers are available.

Whenever I'm able to spend some time in southern California, it's the current limited release West Coast IPA from Pizza Port. I count at least 10 in the last year, all new and never seen again, which is a shame because some have been memorable. Recent ones are Scenic Loop, Everyday Enjoyment, and Finding Paradise.

If I were marooned on a desert island, I'd ensure I had a solar-powered fridge and an endless supply of Bentspoke's Crankshaft: Australia's best IPA, in my humble opinion.

I'd also need a laptop and access to wifi so I could start every WBAYDN with a shot of my desert island Crankshaft, framed by the dolphin-infused, glassy left-handers of my secluded Island sanctuary...

    Cheers!

Bells Two Hearted Ale. When I can't decide what to get, I always get that.

I've had a lot of criticism and commentary on this beer. It's not remarkable, it's not terrible. But it seems to get me.

You can tell its your beer when you run back to it after trying several new ones.

Warsteiner or PU. I reuse the Warsteriner bottles for homebrewing. The PU are green and don't work with my capper.

As I read the title of this thread, I thought to myself: what defines a go-to beer?

In the OP it states: “I keep it in the beer fridge all the time.”

Well, under that definition I don’t have a go-to beer.

A brand that I will always buy when I can find it very fresh (e.g., less than a month from canning) is Fat Heads Head Hunter IPA. My guess is that every 1-2 months I buy a six-pack of this beer.

    Cheers!
