What beer would you like to try before you die? And what beer would you say others should try before they die?

Back in 2015 when I decided I wanted to try new craft beers, my wife stumbled on a MSN article that listed 25 beers everyone should try before they die. That started my journey.

I hopefully have a long time to go before then, but I hope to see Fest of Both Worlds brewed again so I can try it. Theakston Old Peculiar and Crowning Glory (thanks Worlds End) piqued my interest as of late.

    Simple but stuff I enjoy.

Other than that as many milds/bitters and adjacently - Superstition meads as I can try.

To amend this now that I've been thinking about it more, I'd love Goose Island - BCB Caramella Wheatwine or an equivalent again... damn what a fine beer

    Cheers!

I'm grateful that, at this point, I've tried most of my bucket list beers. I also quit ticking and chasing whales a long time ago, so that changes the way I think about bucket list beers as a concept.. I'm opportunistic, though. If a beer I've always wanted to try shows up at a local bottle shop, I'll gladly pick up. I just don't pursue beers as an end unto itself.

...Having said that, I'm going to make an effort to try Tree House and Hill Farmstead one day. But my biggest white whale, bucket list beer has got to be Westvleteren XII.

As far as recommendations to others go, everyone needs to try Heady Topper and Pliny the Elder. Also, the experience of side pull Czech lager and cask English ales will revolutionize the way you think of enjoying beer.

I've had plenty of cask, firkin and side pulls and while it's not bad i dont think it changed anything for me. Maybe i am just a product of modern age where world class stuff is at the local corner store though. i couldn't notice THAT much of a difference to where I'd say it revolutionized it.
Don't listen to me cuz i also gave Westy 12 a 3/5 and Heady and Pliny are shelfies where i live

    Now...beers i wanna try before i die;

NOTHING. 90% of the beers i was led to think i needed to have (mostly due to hype on this website) have been complete let downs.
All i ask for is that North Coast, Enegren Brewing , Firestone Walker ,Liquid Gravity, Wild Field never go under. That is more than enough seeing as that a buncha shit hit the dirt these past couple of years

Remember, it's not Peculiar but Peculier. I'm sure it was your autocorrect but I wanted to point it out. If you don't get it anytime soon I can make sure to hook you up!

I actually made my sister (who lives in the United Kingdom) to get me a bottle a few years back. But we now get it here which is nice.

I have had most of the beers in my bucket list. KBBS, and the Lou Pepe line of Cantillons are notable misses. Also the U Fleku lager, and the Spezial rauchbier are other notable ones.

I think everyone should try Westvleteren 12 and Pliny the Young and Elder before they die....well if you enjoy great beer.

I too don't chase the whales much any more, but if I see one I want to try I definitely get it. I like trying new beers. Just got back from Raleigh Beer Garden last month with my son. If anyone has not visited I highly recommend. Next beer trip will hopefully be to DC for ChurchKey.

Anything Cantillon. I just never had the opportunity.

What should everyone try at least once before they die? Orval, and preferably a vertical to get the full effect.

I’ll say any great balanced NEIPA juice bomb mainly because I stopped drinking them since every time I have one my body feels like I’m going to die.

I was over the moon to have finally tried Pilney, earlier on in the year. Thanks for a friend who was visiting LA, he brought me back 2 bottles that were only 3 weeks old when they got back to me. It did not disappoint.

I'd love to try any Troon and Tree House beer at some point. Also West XII.

Isn't Westvleteren 12 easily found in England?
