Have a good Friday BA. Me and Julia are planning on hitting Millersburg Brewery today to relive the 1st date and get great apps :sunglasses:

SweetWater Gummies Fruit Punch IIPA. Overall really good, mild oat haze in appearance. Great head retention and spotty lacing for the ABV. Aromas of lightly tart raspberry, cherry, blueberry, and tangerine. Tastes follows through with lightly tart raspberry, cherry, blueberry, tangerine, red grapefruit, peach, pineapple, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, yeast earthiness. Mild pine/herbal/spicy/citrus zest bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; creamy/bready malts; light lingering sticky/resinous hop and fruit acid/tang dryness in the mouthfeel after the finish. Mild increasing warmth of 9.5% after the finish. Very smooth drinking for the ABV, great softness for the style, though the acidity felt a little weird, everything was well balanced otherwise. Great juicy Citra hop profile with light dankness. Only my second fruit punch IPA, I loved the NB Fruit Force extremely highly, but this is still good beer all around. Maybe the tartness threw me off, a little too much acidity, but as a oat DIPA it's as advertised. 3.77/5

Going to be a top 3 for 2024, maybe #1

Good day BAs! Thanks @dcotom for starting today's thread. After a clearing night, it's 32F/0C and partly cloudy. Otherwise, an endurable day.

    Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Basically flavorless sans spices, and those are so mulled and muted as to be individually indistinguishable. While there is some slight pumpkin on the nose, it fails to transmit to the taste. Basically, a nearly odorless, nearly tasteless, alcohol delivery system. Rating 3.49, rDev -13.2%

TGIF everyone! Thanks @dcotom again for another day of BA tradition. Never had the 2012 J. W. Lees but I like them in general.

Starting with a complex and smooth Schilling Alexandr Czech-Style Pilsner.

I'll join in for a AM beer. More than likely will have less of those this next year unfortunately. Needing to get my mental/physical health more in check.. I'll still be active on BA tho.

    Cheers y'all!

Taking a break from Celebration and enjoying some nice Torpedo. The date on the package matches the date on the bottle, 11/20/23. It's good to know that it is bottled and packaged the same day so you know how old the beer inside the box is. Torpedo has always been one of my "go-to" beers, and this one certainly does not disappoint with its distinct pine flavor that hits just right with the slight chill of winter outside.
