    Did a bike ride this afternoon in this shitty windy weather. Also installed a new toiletseat. Im not that handy but pretty sure this universal seat was not that universal. Now that Im filled with anger its time for a refreshing beer. 8)

    Another new beer from Henderson in Toronto. An Imperial Old Ale. Pretty Nice. Reminiscent of some big Belgians.

    Poured a 473ml can into a tulip. A one finger head on a slightly hazy reddish brown. The head diminishes to a layer. Some lace strings.
    Mild malt smells. Sweet dark fruit.
    The taste is again dark fruit. toffee. Dark Christmas cake as it warms. Raisin.
    Very smooth. medium body and light carbonation.
    An excellent Old Ale. Smooth and well balanced. Complex. A bit boozy.

    This must be one of the finest imperial pilsners I've had the pleasure of trying. Many of my past experiences seemed to come across hot and unbalanced. Boiler created a beauty with this one. Nicely balanced and an impeccable appearance, very pleasing to the eye and the nose. The taste is wonderfully nuanced and complex. The beer finishes with a heavenly full and rich mouthfeel. A stunning beer.

    Happy Saturday BA's! Huge football day in FL today as 13-0 FSU will try to prove a point against Georgia after being snubbed for the playoffs. It's a cloudless beautiful 58 degrees, 4.5 mile walk done and it's lunch prep time with a Tropicalia.

    To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of Straub's beers, but I actually enjoy this one.
    It has a nice malt & corn backbone with just enough hops for a good balance. For sure my favorite offering from them thus far.
    Id definitely grab some more for that quick cheap swilling beer that you can have more than one of.
    Plus, it's local-ish.
